Chapter 3
Heather can't drive drunk, she already had two driving penalties and could't afford a third one. If the police would caught her again, she couldn't drive anymore as they would have to take her driving card license.
She needed to repeat her driving lessons three times. She should know her limits. I mean she was twenty one for god sake.
None of us could drive a car, only Heather. We didn't have a taxi number and in this street, it didn't come a lot of taxis, much less at night. What to do now?
Well it looked like I needed to ask a sober person to drive us at home. I didn't want to but who else could do that. I didn't want to stress Cara out because of all the things that happened so far to her. The only thing she didn't need that time was more stress.
I looked around the room to see if there is someone decent to take us home. Of course that it couldn't be a random stranger. We needed someone sober but we needed to trust him/her a bit too.
That was so hard to do. I knew I was fucked up. We were in a messed up situation.
I was totally lost and sat down for a bit. I put my forehead on my hands. "What should I do now, who will I ask? If the person I choose actually is going to accept to drive us home? Will he/her do us any harm? He/her will know where we live!" I thought.
My heart was beating fast and I felt a lump in my throat.
I felt a hand touching my left shoulder, I turned around to face those beautiful blue eyes again.
"Yeah, what do you want?" I asked, still whispering because of the lump on my throat. "Are you okay, you look so sad." You could hear his shy, Irish voice. "I'm fine don't worry, I just have to solve something up, nothing major." I lied. "Can I help you in some way? I'm Niall by the way." He replied.
This was it. Take it or leave it. I needed to ask someone to help me anyway and as he asked it already, it was easier for me. At least I didn't need to search anymore.
I didn't know him but so what? I didn't know anyone anyway and for me he was actually the one I trusted the most. I didn't know why. He looked like a shy, nice guy and he was sober. Why not to trust on him? I hoped he could drive.
"I'm Jessica but call me Jess if you want and you actually could help me Niall. if you don't mind of course." I just hoped that I would hear a Yes coming from those lips.
"I'm here for you, Jess." I blushed a bit when he said that. "What's the problem then?" He said, this time more confident.
"Could you drive me and my drunk friends home please? I'll give you all the indications you need." I waited. He took a long time to answer. My heart was beating faster than before. "Sure, let me just go outside and talk to my friend for a couple of minutes. Here is too noisy. Don't go away, I'll be right back, sweetheart." "Yes, no problem. Thank you." I said and he left the club.
I saw Heather sleeping at a table without Fiona. What happened, where was she? I went to Heather and woke her up. I wanted to ask her about Fiona but she was drunk and sleepy. I would ask her the next day then. I took her right arm and threw it over my shoulders. Damn she was heavy.
Cara was nowhere to find. Perhaps she went outside? I stumbled with Heather outside the club. I heard screams coming outside the club. Was there a fight going on? You never know.
You just could see a crowd of girls screaming like there was no tomorrow. I got pushed from every side and Heather wasn't helping either. Even though I loved her, sometimes it was very hard to hang out with her. She stumbled a lot and moaned very loudly to some girls next to my ear because of the pushing.
There was still no clue of Cara neither Niall. With all this crowd how could you find someone. Mission impossible. Good, another problem came. This was getting exhausting.
The night that was supposed to be fun, turned out in a big trouble. I couldn't forget, I was doing this for Cara, she needed a good environment not me. I'm the youngest but the most responsible, as always.
I called Cara and after the "Biiiiiiiib", I heard a pitch voice. Yes, Cara picked up the phone.
I screamed "Cara where are you?" "Whaaattt?? Cara didn't hear a thing. I went inside of the club and so as Cara. I could see her from a far distance, the people who were in the club went all outside to see what happened. The club was empty, even the employees went outside. Cara ran up to me. She looked very, but really very excited.
"What's happening outside and why are you so happy?" I asked still worried with Heather's arm over my shoulder. "What? Don't you know that yet? I'm excited because of what's happening outside." she said stupefied.
Wait, she was all happy because of all the pushing and screams outside? There was something wrong. That didn't seem right. The way she said that, it looked like it was a big thing but what did I miss? I really didn't know how someone could be that excited because of pushing someone or scream until your throat was hoarse. Was Cara drunk or getting crazy? Maybe I didn't get what was going on? I needed Cara to tell me.
"How do you mean, you are happy because of what's happening outside? Tell me what's going on please." I begged her.
"Girl, babe, there is a big celebrity outside of this club right now." She told me. "A celebrity? Omg, who ?" I said nervously. "One member of the biggest boy band is here." She screamed. "You know I don't like any boy bands of this time, the only boy band I listen to is 'The Beatles' and that's ...."
I stopped in the middle of my sentence as I heard a door slam. Which blocked the noise from outside and made the club go completely quiet.
