Parvis' P.O.V

The last week was amazing! I spent hours on end 'tormenting' Will, as he likes to put it. Just stupid things that always got the best reactions - a blush or a chuckle, or even a well deserved glare. Just things that normally I wouldn't even joke about to others. A few dirty jokes here and there, though Will didn't seem to notice them.

I've seen Kirin and Ridge around, sometimes during last week if I've really annoyed Will I would go cower away with them. I will admit though, they are a bit weird. Sometimes when I come up or even pass their conversations with their group quiet down. Well, not so much with Kirin's group - as Lying would almost always make some remark that I didn't understand.

It's a Saturday now, and I had half-expected to see Will working on an assignment, but he's already finished, and he had work. I'm pretty sure he's working until after the lunch rush. I'm not sure where he works, but I know he's got a job up at one of the coffee shops around. I'm currently grabbing my assignment so I can see if I can find him, and get a few cups of coffee to help keep me awake with just how boring it is.

I walked out of the school grounds and into the town I had grown up in. There are two main coffee shops around here - The Captive Creeper owned by someone called Minty, and my choice The Crooked Caber, owned by Ravs. Ravs is a good friend of mine in that sense of I NEED his coffee to keep me alive sometimes. But I don't drink some of his other drinks, which I'm sure it's against the law to serve to me anyway.

I walked into the cafe - which has always looked more like a tavern but it does serve coffee - and waved to Ravs behind the bar. Ravs grinned and nodded to the back. "The usual or something different?"

"The usual. I have an English essay to complete. Also, I have a room mate who probably wouldn't much like the idea of me having any of your 'specials'." I replied and heard Will's familiar chuckle at the back. I grinned with my lucky guess, but I didn't think he would go to Minty's.

"I would not. You are not allowed to come back to the dorm drunk, or I'm kicking you out." He called and then came out to the front with two drinks for some of the other patrons. He nodded to the assignment in my hands. "And how haven't you finished that?"

"I've been working on it, I'm just really busy on these days. Especially since Sparks* is thinking of making a band with Leo, Luke, and Kogie. Though Luke doesn't want to be in our band." I pouted to him, and saw Teep over in the corner eyeing me off. "Okay, fine Teep. One game, but if I win your paying for my drink, and vice-versa."

Teep grinned and he grabbed his lever game, putting it down on the table. I slid in opposite of him, and we both started flicking the lever in a desperate attempt to win. I'm never really sure how to win, but I know I get it sometimes.

"Seems counter-intuitive." Will's voice said behind me as he placed my drink down, and I won the game. I could tell Teep was going to use the other winning way against Ravs later, given that he didn't attack me this time. Teep wasn't even a sore loser like he is sometimes, he took the defeat graciously and handed Will some of his money.

"Hmm. It's a bit of fun. Usually I lose though, both Ravs and Teep are much better than me." I laughed fondly at the memories of when I was being taught the game, very good memories. "Ravs and Teep are really good at it."

"I see. Well, make sure you get your work done. It's due Monday, and you don't have the reputation to get away with it being late." Will said and he walked away, shaking his head in a sort of disappointed look. I nodded at the drink and then looked over at Teep.

"Thanks Teep."

I got a middle finger in return, but I could tell he doesn't really mean that. I continued on with my work and sipped on the coffee every once in a while as Teep stood up, bringing the lever game over to Ravs to play for awhile.

I let my eyes drift to Will every so often, and I just realized how cute he was in an apron. It half made me want to see what he looked like in a dress, but I decided not to push my luck. Instead I went back to writing away at the essay, hoping to get it finished before Will came back over when his shift ended. At least, I assumed he would tell me. He might just leave me here.

I had almost finished the essay when I stretched myself out, my body sore from sitting still for hours. It was about mid-day, and given I had just come in after the breakfast rush I was doing okay. I glanced over at Will who was washing away cups. "Can I have another?"

"Coming." Will replied, and he walked up to the coffee machine. I let him fiddle around with it, watching as he asked Ravs what I had before. I pretended to look confused as he came back over, and I felt him lean over my shoulder. "It looks like you need a conclusion to your essay."

"Thanks Strifeykins." I sung and I saw Will straighten up.

"I get off in an hour if you want me to read through it and edit it. If you want." He said and I nodded. I looked up to see him with a small smile as he walked off to finish his shift.

Looking back at the work I gave a relatively okay conclusion - basically on par with the rest of my essay - before telling myself I was finished for the day. I picked it up so Will can read it later, and slid to the bar where Ravs was still playing with Teep. "Ravs, can I play a game against you?"

"Aye!" Ravs exclaimed as he lost to Teep's outburst, and chuckled slightly. He pushed the game over to me, and I felt Teep's eyes on us. "Bet?"

I leaned in closer so we couldn't be overheard. "If I win, do you think you can get Will drunk enough for him not to remember anything in the morning?"

Ravs grinned, and I could tell I wasn't going to like his side of the bet. "I can do that. But if I win, you are going to have to kiss him. And both of you sober. Tonight"

I must of blushed like mad because I saw Teep miming laughter out my peripheral vision and heard Ravs' joyous laughter. I saw Will out of the corner of my eye, looking confused about the owner's outburst. "Fine."

"Great! One game, starting!" Let's just say I lost... Horribly. Ravs cheered loudly and I saw both of their eyes watching me closely, eyes filled with joy. Meanies.

I retreated back to the table I had before essay in hand and my face was burning with embarrassment. I looked at the clock, and realized an hour was up. Will walked over, apron off and in perfect order again. "So, this essay?"

"I finished writing it, but you said you would go through it." I said, holding the two-pager up to him. It's nothing all that big, compared to Will's stack of five, but I was proud of it.

We were still in the cafe at sunset, and with the help of Will I managed to double my original essay, and re-write it so it was fixed. The essay before wasn't good, but now it was as beautiful as the man who helped me write it.

Ravs had been kind while he waited for us to finish, but now I could tell his patience was beginning to run thin. His voice sounded bored, more as if he had seen this so many times before. "Hey! Love birds! I have to close down sometime you know!"

I felt heat rush to my cheeks, and I saw a similar blush cover Will's face and run down his neck as I grabbed my work and headed out the door. I gave a polite nod to Ravs, who's eyes instantly told me of the bet. He's a big meanie!

I walked silently back to the dorm with Will, wondering about what was going to happen. What if Will was disgusted with me, and he decided to move out? What if I never see him again due to this... What if he doesn't like me that way and starts to hate me? I was half-hoping to go back on that promise.

I almost tried to pretend that I had forgotten, but anytime I was close to actually forgetting Ravs and Teep's eyes would pop up in my mind, reminding me of a silly bet that I probably shouldn't of made in the first place. But I really can't go back now. I ended up sitting on the bed in silence.

"Is something wrong Parvis? You haven't talked since we left the cafe."

Sometimes I hate Will and his amazing accent, beautiful shining green eyes of concern even though he tries not to care. If it was anyone else this stupid bet had been made on I wouldn't mind, but I don't want him to get mad at me.

I met his eyes now, and I decide it's now or never. Besides, Ravs did say tonight. I push myself off my bed and walk over to Will. I mumbled a small apology that he probably didn't even hear, before closing my eyes and placing my lips on his.
