it was hurricane season that year. i was eight years old, and i was in the street playing with my brother's friends. i was expecting it to be clear all day, that's why i was outside. but then my brother got jealous. he didn't want me playing with his friends. they were his friends, after all. so he pushed me down, and i scraped my knees. and all of a sudden, it wasn't so clear outside anymore. and all of a sudden, the rain poured down, and the wind picked up. three thousand people were stuck on their roofs that night.

i was fourteen years old when the sirens blared outside of my room, warning that there was a fire of some sort. it was around 2 in the morning, and i was woken up by the lights outside of my room. as scared as i was, i looked across the street to see a fire blazing in my neighbor's two story house. i was terrified seeing my first fire, but it was only when i opened the door that i hear the screams of the two children stuck in the top floor of the house. and that was when the fire hydrant in front of the burning house burst, letting water fall over the house, putting the fire out almost instantly.

i was twenty years old when i figured out what was making all of this water go out of control. i spent an entire night trying to figure out how to get my brain to control water. it wasn't until my brother spilled his coffee onto my notebook that i realized it was when i was in tense situations that i could make it happen. because being as pissed off as i was, the water inside the kitchen sink it my brother square in the face.
