*Liam*I Concentrated Hard On The Chess Board In Front Of Me. My Dad Had An Ugly Grin On His Face As He Watched Me And My Grandpa Have An Intense Game Of Chess.
"I've Got You In Two Moves. You're Done....Finished.... Toast!" My Grandpa Said. I Smirked As I Made My Move.
"Checkmate." I Said. He Frowned As He Looked Down At The Board. My Dad Laughed Hysterically And So Did I.
"That's My Boy!" He Said.
"A Chip Off The Old Block!" My Grandpa Said. We Laughed As The Dinner Bell Rang. We Joined Both My Mom And Grandma At The Dinner Table As The Servants Served Us Our Dinner. I Ate Quietly As My Parents And Grandparents Engaged In Small Talk. My Mind Was On Amayah Heavy And I Couldn't Wait To See Her Gorgeous Face Again.
"So Liam My Boy! Are You Dating Anyone?" My Grandpa Asked.
"No Sir. Not Anymore. I'm Just Focused On School And Swimming." I Said.
"Which Is All You Should Be Focused On. You'll Be Graduating In Two Months And Then You're Off To Harvard University!" My Grandma Said. I Nodded As I Finished Eating.
"So Your Mother Told Us That You Have Befriended A Black Girl." My Dad Said. I Nodded As I Gave My Mom An Evil Look.
"When Do We Ever Associate With Those Types Of People?" My Grandma Asked.
"Those People? Grandma She's A Person Just Like You And Me." I Said.
"No She's A Black Person. It's Really Different." Grandma Said. I Said Nothing Else As I Pulled My Phone Out To Text Amayah.
Me: Meet Me On The Side Of Your House Tonight. I'll Be There Around 11.
I Sent The Text As My Grandparents Went On And On About Slavery And What Not. They Had Only Been Here A Few Days, But Dammit I Was Ready For Them To Go!
After Dinner, My Dad Took My Grandparents For Drinks While I Showered And Got Ready To Go See Amayah.
"Liam." My Mom Said Knocking On The Door.
"Yes?" I Said Obviously Annoyed.
"Ashley's Here." She Announced. I Sighed In Frustration As I Quickly Got Dressed In Basketball Shorts And A Plain T-shirt. I Slid On My Shoes And Headed Downstairs. Ashley Stood By The Door Looking Nervous As I Approached Her.
"Hi." She Said, Leaning In To Kiss Me, But I Turned My Head.
"What Are You Doing Here?" I Asked.
"I Miss You. I Want You To Take Me Back." She Said.
"Ashley It's Over. We Can Still Be Friends, But Other Then That...There's No More Us." I Said. She Nodded As She Put Her Head Down. Oh Man...Here Come The Water Works.
"I'll See You At School." She Said As She Wiped Her Eyes. She Then Stopped As She Turned To Face Me.
"Could I Have Just One Last Kiss?" She Asked.
"Ashely..." I Said, But She Cut Me Off.
"Please Liam!" She Cried. I Sighed As I Leaned In And Kissed Her. She Grabbed My Face And Kissed Me Harder As She Slid Her Tongue In My Mouth. I Shoved Her Off Me And Wiped My Mouth.
"Bye Ashley!" I Said, Opening The Door For Her.
"Bye." She Said. I Waited Until She Pulled Out Of My Driveway Before I Closed The Door. My Mom Came Out Of Nowhere And Popped Me In The Back Of My Head.
"Ouch!" I Said.
"What Is The Matter With You? Ashley Is A Lovely Girl! Why Are You Treating Her Like She's Nothing?" She Snapped.
"Because She Is Nothing! I'm Over Her!" I Snapped Back.
"Liam Harvey Adkins! This Not The Way Your Father And I Raised You!" She Screamed.
"Oh Really? Because I Do Believe I Had Nannies That Raised Me!" I Screamed Back. She Slapped Me Hard Across The Face.
"How Dare You Talk To Me Like That!" She Said. I Turned And Stormed Out Of The House. I Climbed Into The Car And Sped Off Like A Madman. I Was So Mad That I Was Shaking Uncontrollably.
When I Got To Amayah's House, I Sent Her A Text Telling Her I Was Outside. I Climbed Out Of The Car And Made My Way Towards The Side Of Her House. I Waited About Five Minutes Until Amayah Came Walking Towards Me. I Grabbed Her And Kissed Her Hard. She Wrapped Her Arms Around Me And Deepened The Kiss.
"I Have Something For You." I Said.
"What Is It?" She Asked. I Reached Into My Pocket And Pulled Out A Box. Her Eyes Lit Up As She Slowly Opened The Box.
"Oh My God, Liam! This Is Beautiful." She Said. It Was A Heart Shaped Locket That Read:
He Who Holds The Key Can Unlock My Heart.
"I Love It." She Said. I Kissed Her Lips And Looked Her In The Eyes.
"I Love You." I Said. Her Eyes Watered Up As She Smiled And Kissed Me.
"I Love You Too." She Said. She Handed Me The Necklace And Turned Around So I Could Put It On Her. Once It Was On...I Turned Her Around To Face Me.
"How Does It Look?" She Asked.
"Perfect." I Said. She Blushed As She Looked Down.
"So Where's The Key To My Heart?" She Asked. I Pulled The Neck Part Of My Shirt Down And Revealed The Key.
"You Never Cease To Amaze Me." She Said As She Kissed My Neck, Causing Me To Shudder A Bit. As Much As I Want To Bury Myself Inside Her, I Just Wanted To Enjoy Our Time Together. We Sat On The Back Porch And Just Enjoyed Each Other's Company. It Was Passed Midnight When I Kissed Amayah Goodnight. We Told Each Other I Love You At Least Least Ten More Times Before We Parted Ways. I Haven't Been This Happy In...Well Forever!
