"Thank you so much." I handed the driver fourteen dollars and he nodded in appreciation. I exchanged a smile as he drove off. The wind started to blow, and I looked up to see a fairly large brick house. Megan's house. I smiled and walked on the walkway path, which led to two glass doors. I rung the doorbell and I could hear it echoing all throughout the voice.
Once it stopped echoing, I heard footsteps. The door had suddenly opened and Megan stood there with an elegant blue sun dress. "Cecilia? Not to be rude or anything, but why are you here?"
"What?" I asked innocently with my back against the door frame. "Can't your best friend drop by and say hi?" I invited myself in and she laughed at me.
"Well, you know you're welcomed here any time, but you rarely come over, so I guess your arrival is kind of shocking." She scratched her head awkwardly and I gave her a smirk.
"Well get used to it then. Cause I think I just might spend the whole day with you." I winked at her and a sudden grin plastered on her soft and perfect face frame.
"Well you're lucky I wasn't doing anything today. I had to go to my parents' conference meeting with them but I convinced them to let me stay here. So...I guess I'm free to do anything with you." She shrugged and sat on the single seat couch. The decor was nice in the house. Her mom gave it a nice fancy theme, with statues and fake fruit sitting on nightstands and counters. Her house was practically made of marble on the inside!
"So, what should we do today?" I asked. I didn't want to make it seem like I was using her just so I could stay safe from the dark angels, so I wanted to be enthusiastic with her.
Megan pursed her lips in thought, and then she finally shrugged as a response.
"Wouldn't you like to do anything?" I questioned, cocking an eyebrow at her.
"I really wasn't expecting anyone over. I guess we could go to the mall or something." She suggested, her dark eyes glancing into mines and back into her lap.
"I just went there." I rolled my eyes at this, and she raised a perfectly arched eyebrow. Her next suggestion was very shocking to me. It hit me like a lightning strike, and it was very powerful.
"Let's go see Joseph then." She suggested with a shrug, as if it weren't a big deal. Not only was it unsafe for me to go there, but I thought Megan HATED Joseph! She'd always call him a demon and she blamed him for everything.
I wanted to just hop onto her and be like, 'Are you crazy?! I can't go there! A bunch of dark angels are waiting for me there and they want to kill me!' But of course, she didn't know that, and I don't plan for her to know neither. So instead, I just cleared my throat and said, "I thought you hated Joseph."
Megan sighed and darted her eyes off to the side, "That doesn't mean he doesn't deserve for you to be there." She gave me a soft gaze and a smile to go with it, and I couldn't help but to smile back. "You're like, a second mom to him. He probably wants to see you, and besides, Jenna and Lindsey just left the hospital after paying him a visit and they said Matt and Claire are there. I know Joseph gets tired of seeing the people who caused his accident in the first place, so let's just go."
As much as I wanted to listen to Luke and say it's wrong, I knew Megan was right; I bet Joseph wanted to me, and I don't care if Matt or Claire's there; I just want to see Joey, so within that, I smiled and nodded at Megan, and I took out my car keys.

"They'd better have food for us. I'm starving." Megan growled out while she pulled her dress down from the forceful winds.
I clenched in place and tightened my face expression, "Ew; hospital food?"
She gave me a weird look, but then it softened. "Yeah, you're right. Too gross?"
