Kizumi's P.O.V.
"Good, you're finally using your brain and asking me." She cleared her throat and looked at me, rubbing her chin thoughtfully. " I suppose I'll give you a hint now on how to get the coin."
I looked at her, wide-eyed, because, did she just say 'hint'?! I did not give up after two months of trying to get those damned coins only to get a 'hint'!
"But, you said you'd help me!"Once again, her eyes got that same look in them, as if she was looking at me through a microscope."I told you that you could ask me questions. It is my job as your teacher to answer them, after all." All that time- Wait, look at the bright side Kizumi. The bright side......What's the bright side?! Wait, wait, I-I can milk this for all it's worth and get all the answers I need. Yes, I can do that, but what to ask first?
"Think of it as if I was checking for your level of intelligence." I was speechless, level of intelligence?! Was she insulting me? No, I glanced at her, she looked completely serious. While I was still speechless, she continued what she was saying.
"The hint I'll give you is: You have it in your body, everyone does, and you need to use it." My face must've shown how puzzled I was, because she continued. "It is something you didn't have in your world, but we have here and is mostly used by ninjas." She made it so obvious that I have a feeling she thinks I'm stupid, but who cares! I've got the answer, it's.......
"Chakra!""Good, I'm glad you remember that at least." Nodding her head, she reached her hand out and she showed her chakra just like the first time she showed me. " To catch the coin, you need to use your chakra." She paused and silence swallowed us.
"That's it?" That's all she's gonna say?! Just, 'use your chakra'?! How am I supposed to do that?!
"Yes, I wish to see you try to find your chakra and catch the coin." Keyword, 'try', which means she doesn't think I'll be able to do it, but if she knows that, then why does she want me to do it in vain? I'll just be wasting time!
"But-But, I don't know how to do that!" I spluttered out.
She gave me a leveled stare before speaking up, probably seeing that I wasn't going to start until she said something back. "Then learn, try, Azusa-san."
"But, aren't you supposed to teach me?"
Not losing the look on her face, she trudged on. "And I will, but I wish to see what kind of student I have first." That makes sense, so I guess I need to try catching the damn coins again? I sighed, just thinking about going after the coins when I knew I wouldn't be able to catch them. Well, at least Mizue-sensei told me about chakra before making me resume.
Mizue-sensei then spun a coin before she made it roll away. This time, instead of following the coin I decided to try and figure out how to use chakra and, not knowing where to begin I just scrunched up my face while I tried to will forth the chakra. When that didn't work I began a chant in my head. Chakra! Chakra! Chakra! Chakra!
Not surprised it didn't work, but eh, it was worth a try anyways. Hm, let's try envisioning the chakra. Okay, think, so blue flowy stuff, blue flowy stuff, blue, flowy, stuff! C'mon, work!
Becoming increasingly desperate and exasperated that my chakra wouldn't come out I began talking out loud.
"C'mon, chakra! Come out! Blue flowy stuff! C'mon!" Nothing came out and out of exasperation my voice echoed around the forest. "Ugh!" I shouted, as if someone had punched me right in the gut.
I was doomed, getting my chakra to come out was just like catching those stupid coins. It was impossible for me! Well, impossible for me alone. At this thought, I snuck a glance at my teacher, but quickly turned away when my gaze locked with hers.
Getting back on my train of thought before that. Even if I couldn't do it on my own, it wasn't any reason to give up, because my next try might succeed, no matter how improbable, and I knew I was in for a headache formed from exasperation because of that fact alone.
