chapter 31

the family got to Liz house laughing at how Adam said he wanted to be niall for Halloween and Sidney be harry.

"okay, so I'll talk like niall and you talk like harry how hard can that be?" Adam said to Sidney as luke rings the bell. "I don't know, do you think my hair will be long enough like harrys?" Sidney say and calum giggles. "is that supposed to mean something?" Adam says. "yeah, it means he needs to cut his hair " Sidney says. "shaking my head, you can't just say that!" Adam says.

liz opens the door and tells them all to come in. Sidney and Adam take the 'argument' into Adams old room where he still has some of his old toys.

"what brings you guys here today" Liz asked sitting on the kitchen table. "we just wanted to visit" luke says and Calum sits down also. "luke come sit" calum smiles and luke does. "how's the wedding going?" Liz asked. "it's doing good, luke just needs to be more serious" calum says. "I am" luke says throwing his hands up. "he probably is calum, just remember he has a mind of a 3 year old" Liz says and Calum laughs. "very funny mom" luke says rolling his eyes. "I heard you and your dad are in good terms now" Liz says and Calum stiffens. "um, well not really" luke says. "what do you mean" Liz asked. "well something happened and I don't know if he was part of it" luke says. "what is that 'something'?" Liz asked. "you tell her, I'm going to play with the kids" calum says as he leaves the room.

Luke is left in the kitchen with his mom looking confused. Luke didn't know how to tell her anything. calum should be, he lived it.

"well, when I stayed here because of calums and I argument. Josh, Andrews son, um, hurt calum" luke says. "wait? josh? as calums ex" Liz asked and Luke noded. "He's the one who put him in the hospital, calum didn't tell me until today when Josh called. calum wasn't allowed to tell anyone or he'll hurt the kids" luke says looking down at his hands. "you don't think Andrew is part of it? do you?" Liz aksed. "well he is his son mom" luke says. "and your his son too" Liz says. "mom are you saying I shouldn't be curious if he was part of it" luke asked. "well no you shouldn't, Andrew and I talked yesterday and he seemed fine, he didn't help josh" Liz says shaking her head. "what if he did? are you still going to be on his side" luke asked standing up. "he didn't do it!" Liz yelled.

Luke was mad at this point. was his own mother, that saw what Andrew did to him, on his side? luke was holding his fist so hard that it was turning white.

"and what if he did!" luke yelled. "well he didn't!" Liz yelled back throwing the glass cup on the floor. "are you siding with him! my abuser" luke yelled. "maybe you deserved that!" Liz screamed out but then put her hands on her mouth.

Luke punched the wall making a whole in it. his own mother said he needed that. he needed to be beaten everyday.

"you might say he's isn't your father but you sure have anger issues like he does" Liz says walking away from luke.

"calum! kids! we are leaving" luke yelled leaving Liz house. the three come out the house and luke went into the car. Calum was worried on what happened. he's heard the yelling but didn't know why made it silent.

"you okay" calum asked as they all where in the car. "I don't know" luke says starting to drive.
