Yes that is Joey. I know, he doesn't look evil, but he is. Or at least in the book.
I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing and buzzing on my night stand. I picked it up and the caller ID said Joey. "Hello?" I said groggily.
"We break up, and you start dating him!"
"That is none of your business," I say a little more awake. "How'd you know about that anyway?"
"That's none of you business either."
"Have you been spying on me? I can't believe you!"
"No, I saw you kissing Chris in the park, and I didn't want you to move on so quickly," he said a little softer.
"Your the one that broke up with me! You decided you didn't want to be with me!"
"And I made a huge mistake, you were the best thing that's ever happened to me."
"Your right. I WAS the best thing that ever happened to you. But now I'm in love with someone that likes me, and you can't change that."
" But Kate..."
"Bye!" I screamed at the phone. Tears stung my eyes but I promised myself I wouldn't cry. It was 6:23 by the time I hung up the phone. I dialed Chris' phone number and listened to the voicemail.
"Hey, this is Chris. Sorry I missed your call. I'll call you back as soon as I can. Leave a message at the beep. Beep. No, I'm just kidding leave a message at the real beep." Beep.
"Hey, this is Kate. Please pick up, I know your there."
"Kate! Hey, sorry I missed you. What's up, you don't sound right."
"I need someone to talk to. Can I come over?"
"Of course, what's wrong?"
"I'll tell you when I get there."
when I stepped outside the cool morning air sent a chill down my spine. There were snowflakes sprinkled across the lawn and frost on the trees. My breath floated through the air as fog.
I got in my car and started driving to Chris' house. I wasn't paying attention to the road, when I saw a stoplight. I Skidded to a stop. I whatched as the light turned green. I was in the intersection when I saw a dark car speeding towards me. My body jerked to the side as the cars met. The airbag flew out, and my head flew into my side window. The last thing I remember is Joey walking towards my car. He came from the car that hit me.
