“Hello?” I asked without checking caller ID. The day had dragged on yet again and I was still on edge about Harry.
“Hi baby.” Harry’s deep voice filled the speaker.
“Oh, hi.”
“Don’t sound too excited.” He teased but I knew he held worry within his tone. The way he hadn’t laughed up at the end like he usually would. “I’m taking an extended lunch.” He informed me as I swung around in my office chair bored to pieces.
“Have fun then.” I laughed lifting the long cord and turning all the way around.
“Oh I will. I’m visiting my girlfriend at her office so it’s sure to be fun.”
“Oh are you now?” he hummed sarcastically and I laughed at him. “Well I feel bad for her.”
“And why is that?” I heard him muffle something to someone that I couldn’t quite hear.
“Who wants to spend time with you? You’re so boring.” I teased shrilling my voice a little higher sounding snobbish and royal.
“You sure don’t seem to think so.” His voice was serious now and I swallowed loudly. “Especially not a few nights ago.” My eyes darted from side to side to ensure that no one could hear him. But of course no one could. He was on the phone and no one was walking by. I turned my back to elevators and faced the wall so I could keep my voice hushed.
“I was faking.” I hissed but I heard him laugh roughly on the other end.
“Well then you’re a great actress and I want to see more.” The elevator dinged and my heart rate increased dramatically.
“Stop Harry.”
“Mmm, you won’t be saying that soon.”
“I have to go.” I told him spinning around to face the elevator.
“I don’t.” His voice was much closer than it had been before and I realized it was him who was coming out. He strode over to behind the desk and handed me the purple roses as I stood up to face him. I placed them on the desk after admiring them for a moment and he wrapped his hands around my waist. I held my palms against his chest and felt the soft cashmere of his burnt orange sweater. His outfit, like always, was well put together. He paired the sweater with beige trousers and dark brown loafers. His body was amazing, with or without clothes. I peered back up at him and he pulled me into him even more. “Hi.” He smiled down at me.
“Hello.” I smiled back feeling my cheeks heat and my heart rate quicken.
“Would you like to go to lunch?” I turned to look at the giant clock that loomed over the elevator reading that my lunch break was in 10 minutes.
“In 10 minutes I can, how long is your lunch break?” I worried.
“As long as I want.” He smiled moved his hand to raise my chin so I looked into his eyes easily. “Can I kiss you now?” He asked his lips hovering over at mine. His green eyes seemed even more so as they watched my face intently. I nodded slightly and in an instant his soft lips were on mine. The kiss was sweet, like I had expected but passionate at the same time. His lips massaged against my own and his wide palm held my face in place as his slowly bobbed up and down. His teeth had a soft clamp on my lips, working and massaging them. He pulled back but kept his lips on mine, recapturing them every time as he leaned back in.
He leaned back and smirked at me. “I know what we can do for ten minutes.” He winked and I rolled my eyes and shook my head at him. He was such a boy sometimes.
“I don’t want to know what’s racing through that pretty little head of yours.” My fingers raked through his curls and he shook them out sweeping his fringe to the side afterwards.
“I could show you.” He whispered leaning in for another kiss. I smirked as our lips reconnected and he slipped his tongue past my parted mouth. I grazed my teeth against it as his met mine and he growled low in his throat. I leaned into him even more feeling the peak in his trousers and smiled smugly knowing he was always riled up around me.
My office phone’s loud bleep overtook the sounds of our kissing and I huffed loudly pulling away. “Don’t answer.” He advised pulling me back in and trying to kiss me. I walked backwards and he held to me kissing my cheek down to my neck playfully as I reached for the phone.
“Daniels and Frett Law Office, Lauren speaking.” I answered automatically in a sing song-y tune. Harry chuckled into me keeping his lips stuck to my skin. I tried to focus on what the caller was saying but didn’t quite understand. “Yeap, yes, of course, let me just connect you to her. Great! Thank you, yes you too, okay have a good one.” I hung up annoyed with being interrupted.
“We still have four minutes.” He observed and I laughed at his persistence.
“Isn’t that a shame.”
“I have to wee, and then as soon as I’m done we’ll go to lunch.” He decided and I nodded my head happily as I pointed him in the direction of the washroom. He pecked my cheek once again lingering for longer than necessary and waltzing off.
I sighed heavily adjusting the roses and searching for something to put them in. I found a vase in the staff room and filled it with water before walking out to place them in there. Harry was standing against the desk tapping his foot impatiently. “We’re going.” He said angrily grabbing my forearm and yanking me into the waiting elevator. I left the vase at my desk as he tossed me into the elevator and clicked the close door button with urgency.
“What’s going on?” I asked panicking. Harry attached his lips to my neck and began to suck the soft flesh that it exposed. I tried pushing him off but he was relentless. My tiny arms were nothing to his strong chest as he pinned me against the wall, my lower back digging into the railing uncomfortably. Harry hadn’t been this aggressive since we had met back at that party. “Harry stop.” I demanded trying to push him off again. “Harry, we talked about this.” The lift dinged again and we were finally at the ground level. He wiped the back of his hand over his wet mouth and grabbed my wrist tightly pulling me from the small confines. He shook his hand and bent and flexed his fingers of his other hand. His knuckles were red, a flush to the rest of his hand and he stretched the fingers.
He dragged me out of the building and opened the door of his large range rover letting me inside as he slammed the door and stomped off to the other side. His swollen lips were fluttering as he muttered angrily under his breath. His eyes were squinted in concentration and his fists balled up. He yanked his door open and snaked into his seat; back rigid and hands wrapped around the steering wheel. His eyes were focused harshly on something ahead of him and my heart was pounding in my chest with my worry.
He turned to me, the leather squeaking as he pushed his body into mine and pressed his lips to mine aggressively. I was paralyzed. Awkwardly squeezed between Harry and where the door and seat met. His lips roughly tugged mine, teeth nipped at my bottom lip to try and gain a reaction. I pushed him back and he was relentless. I beat his chest as I whimpered trying to get his attention and pull him out of whatever trance he was in.
With a loud pop he finally pulled away and put the car into gear before I had a chance to jump out of the fucking vehicle. His wheels squealed as we tore down the road. “What the fuck was that?” I asked words like venom. I turned to face him, eyes ablaze with confusion and anger. “Huh?” I asked leaning in closer to him glad that I didn’t have a seatbelt to restrict me. “Answer me!” I demanded yelling in his face.
