“Hello?” I asked without checking caller ID. The day had dragged on yet again and I was still on edge about Harry.
“Hi baby.” Harry’s deep voice filled the speaker.
“Oh, hi.”
“Don’t sound too excited.” He teased but I knew he held worry within his tone. The way he hadn’t laughed up at the end like he usually would. “I’m taking an extended lunch.” He informed me as I swung around in my office chair bored to pieces.
“Have fun then.” I laughed lifting the long cord and turning all the way around.
“Oh I will. I’m visiting my girlfriend at her office so it’s sure to be fun.”
“Oh are you now?” he hummed sarcastically and I laughed at him. “Well I feel bad for her.”
“And why is that?” I heard him muffle something to someone that I couldn’t quite hear.
“Who wants to spend time with you? You’re so boring.” I teased shrilling my voice a little higher sounding snobbish and royal.
“You sure don’t seem to think so.” His voice was serious now and I swallowed loudly. “Especially not a few nights ago.” My eyes darted from side to side to ensure that no one could hear him. But of course no one could. He was on the phone and no one was walking by. I turned my back to elevators and faced the wall so I could keep my voice hushed.
“I was faking.” I hissed but I heard him laugh roughly on the other end.
“Well then you’re a great actress and I want to see more.” The elevator dinged and my heart rate increased dramatically.
“Stop Harry.”
“Mmm, you won’t be saying that soon.”
“I have to go.” I told him spinning around to face the elevator.
“I don’t.” His voice was much closer than it had been before and I realized it was him who was coming out. He strode over to behind the desk and handed me the purple roses as I stood up to face him. I placed them on the desk after admiring them for a moment and he wrapped his hands around my waist. I held my palms against his chest and felt the soft cashmere of his burnt orange sweater. His outfit, like always, was well put together. He paired the sweater with beige trousers and dark brown loafers. His body was amazing, with or without clothes. I peered back up at him and he pulled me into him even more. “Hi.” He smiled down at me.
“Hello.” I smiled back feeling my cheeks heat and my heart rate quicken.
“Would you like to go to lunch?” I turned to look at the giant clock that loomed over the elevator reading that my lunch break was in 10 minutes.
“In 10 minutes I can, how long is your lunch break?” I worried.
“As long as I want.” He smiled moved his hand to raise my chin so I looked into his eyes easily. “Can I kiss you now?” He asked his lips hovering over at mine. His green eyes seemed even more so as they watched my face intently. I nodded slightly and in an instant his soft lips were on mine. The kiss was sweet, like I had expected but passionate at the same time. His lips massaged against my own and his wide palm held my face in place as his slowly bobbed up and down. His teeth had a soft clamp on my lips, working and massaging them. He pulled back but kept his lips on mine, recapturing them every time as he leaned back in.
He leaned back and smirked at me. “I know what we can do for ten minutes.” He winked and I rolled my eyes and shook my head at him. He was such a boy sometimes.
