"SOPPPHIIEEEEEE!!!!"
Ellie screamed from the bottom of the stairs. She was waiting on me since she was gonna take me out sightseeing around London. This was my first week in england, because I had just moved here as an exchange student. and this is the place I was staying at.
"I'm coming!" I shouted back, but really I needed 5 more minutes getting ready.
but she replied immediately with;
"But Tom is waiting in the carrrrrr!!"
I put my hairbrush down next to the sink, and rolled my eyes at her excuse.
"asssss said! I’m coming." I laughed at her impationess, and decided to just take a final look in the mirror before I grabbed my purse and headed out the door.
I walked down the stairs and met on Ellie almost jumping up and down in excitement. She was the sister of 2 elder boys in this family, living alone with their mum.
"ughh!! what took you soo long?!?! you look just like how you looked like when I woke you up this morning!" I frowned at her comment. "don't tell me I look sleepy being awake too, but thanks! now I know" I made a face at her, but she stumbled her feet down at the ground like a little 5 year old and sunk her shoulders. "sophieee, I’m kidding. you're gorgeous. now c'MON LETS GO"
I laughed and decided to reply her again to mock her, "Ellie, I’m staying here a whole year. You don't need to rush showing me everything there is today!! I’m here a whole year, don't want to get bored the first week" I smiled foolishly at her,as she dragged me after her into the car.
"Sophie, firstly! you're in London... no one can get bored of this place. secondly! I’m rushing you this morning because we're going to a market! they're having a huge summer market down in Notting Hill... that's why we're going there early before they all pack up."
Tom smiled at me in the mirror of his car and started the engine. He was the second oldest and had black messy hair. He worked at a bar and is very close to his sister Ellie.
We drove off and Ellie kept pointing out famous and tourists excitements. But I wasn't paying any attention at all. I was lost in my own thoughts just starring out of my window, trying to understand that I had actually moved out for the first time, and I was now living with unknown people with unknown backgrounds. It was all hard to take in, as I had always been mums little girl and never really done any big choices as the choice I had chosen to take now. Moving out as an exchange student.
“sophie, sophie, soPHIE” I woke up from my thoughts and nodded my head, pretending to listen to all of the things she had told me on the way down.
“Sophieeeee, we're hereee” I shifted myself up in my seat and looked around and out of my window. Wow.. this place was beautiful.
We unbuckled our seat belts and stepped out of the car. Bright pink cherry trees were along the road, and lots of people outside walking up and down the street looking at what there was to buy at the market.
It. Was. Hot.
Ellie put on her shades and turned to look at me, “lets go girls” she grabbed her brothers arm and my arm and we all laughed at her foolishness.
We had walked up and down the street for a while, looking at stuff from amazing art to worthless s***.
It was such a nice sunny day, family and kids were eating ice cream and drinking soda. Which made Ellie and I very jealous.
“Sophie... would you like something to eat?” she looked at me and took off her shades.
“hmmmm tempting. But have you seen the line?” I pointed to the crowded ice cream shop door, were people were everywhere surrounding the place.
“yeaaa... that's why I asked you if you were hungry.. hoping you would be soo kind and stand in the big line for me” she smirked a cheeky smile at me and laughed when I playfully hit her. “hey! I'm not going in there alone! Besidesss you have more nerves than me, I can't talk to strangers”
“alright, alright..... I’ll go there alone.. ahahha” she took the money out of my hand and skipped her way over to the shop.
I now stood there alone, since Tom had made his way back to the car because he couldn't take all the people.
I watched as People were everywhere. And soooo many children were running around with their ice cream cones and balloons in their hands. There were so many different faces, and I was just basically foolishly standing there alone creepishly looking at peoples faces.
And thats when I noticed him.
The time I had been standing there, there had been a guy checking me out. Watching me as I had stood there waiting for Ellie.
Ellie was still in line, and so I really wish she wasn't.
When I turned around I saw a guy leaning against the cheery tree.
He was beautiful.
The brown curly locks were messy and spread perfectly ontop of his head.
He was leaning against the tree with crossed arms.
Tall, and were wearing a grey shirt and long dark jeans.
I felt completely lost, but realized that I was starring at him with a wide open mouth when I saw a smile grow on his face.
His smile grew onto his face and he revealed his dimples.
I was sooo embarrassed and couldn't believe that I just had starred at him without even realizing that he was watching everything I had done while I stood there waiting for Ellie.
He pushed himself up from leaning against it and started to walk my way.
Oh god, Ellie. Where was she, I can't talk to this guy. I
I decided to just turn around and pretend like nothing happened, but thats when I felt a hand on the back of my spine.
I shivered and before I could turn around, I heard his voice
“You looked shocked?” He came around me and gently swept his hand from my back to my right arm.
Those dark green eyes looked into mine, and he just kept standing there. Cheeky.
I was almost lost in his eyes, but knew that I had to respond to him before I did anything stupid, like poking his dimple.
He chuckled a little and asked me again “...You need help babe?”
“I-I-I.. sorry, I'm.. just waiting for my friend..” I stumbled the words, not really sure why I did that.
“.....You're not alone?” he tilted his head and looked down at me. He was just above my forehead, dangerously close to me that it almost felt uncomfortable.
