The twins sat on their respective pile of furs that night. Fang's back was to his brother while Felix watched his brother's back. He'd made up his mind to try and fix things between them but it seemed as if his twin had made up his mind to never speak to him again.

He'd been puzzling over the right thing to say or even how to start up a conversation with him. Fang was reading a story book and he seemed very engrossed in it such that he didn't even hear when Felix had shifted in his pile of furs, gotten up and walked over to him stopping a few feet away from him.

"Fang?" The sub stayed silent and unmoving. "I-I'm sorry." Fang rolled his eyes knowing his brother couldn't see. Sure, he may be sorry now but he knew better. His brother is a dominant and their egos are massive. If anyone defies that and doesn't cater to it, the dominants trip and usually it's the subs that pay for it. He's seen it happened before.

One time he was wandering around the cave and he'd heard a sound. He was curious so he went to investigate. That was one thing he regretted. He'd peeked around the corner and saw a sub with white blond hair lying on the ground pressed to the cave wall. He lay on his side and there were tears in his eyes. Standing over him was a dominant who was clearly upset about something. At first, Fang's naïve mind and his wolf told him it was the sub who'd displeased the dominant but after watching for longer than he wanted; he learnt then that the dominant's anger wasn't directed at the sub. It was Fang's father, the alpha. Apparently, they had a falling out and because the dominant couldn't exactly strike the alpha and live, he decided to take it out on a sub.

Following that, he'd seen more fights like that happen and very few times; the dominants' anger was directed at the sub. He figured sooner rather than later that dominants hurt subs just because they can and there would be no objection; just because they were smaller and weaker.

He knew that in time, Felix would become like that. His brother would be just like any other dominant that would either openly want others to worship the ground he walks on or secretly crave it. Then again, his brother could very well be the next alpha so no one, sub or dominant could really object.

"Can we go back to being friends? Back to brothers?" While knew his brother would eventually grow up to be like all dominants, they still had a while. He could still salvage his relationship with his brother. Looking over his shoulder at the dominant destined boy, he replayed his brother's words in his head.

"Okay; but don't want to be my friend only to hurt me again." Turning now to face his brother who stood nearly a full head taller than him, he met the dominant destined boy's eyes and extended a hand. They shook on the agreement.

"So when do you start school?" Felix asked scratching the back of his head awkwardly.

"Since its Wednesday, they said I'd be starting on Monday."

Monday...

Fang smiled to himself as he ran his fingers along the fabric of his new clothes; human clothes. His uncle had told him that the shirt he wore, the humans called it a hoodie and it's a dark blue colour. A very pretty colour in Fang's opinion. The hoodie was worn like a t-shirt and had strings attached to the hood and he wore black jeans and black and white sneakers.

He liked his attire a lot but he still preferred walking about in human form with only shorts on. It was more comfortable.

The sub boy adjusted the strap of his bag and headed out into the main chamber where his father, mother, uncles, grandparents and brother stood waiting. Steven smiled warmly as his youngest grandchild approached looking ready to head out on his first day of school.

Like on the first day of school for Felix, they'd all walked him down the track where they met a driver who would take them to the school. The entire family was going to see Fang off on his first day as well. The group stopped a few feet away from the black sedan that would take the boys the rest of the way.

The boys turned to look at their alpha and father who came to kneel in front of them so that he could be more at their height. He first looked to his eldest. "Stay out of trouble and look after your brother. I've made sure that Fang gets put in most of the classes as you and whatever other classes he doesn't have with you, I've arranged it that one of the other boys are there." The dominant destined boy knew exactly who his father was speaking about. Aside from himself, there was no one other than Jackson, Avery, Dylan and Nate he trusted around his brother. But he trusted Avery and Nate most with Fang. He could depend on those two to keep a hawk eye on Fang.

Jack then turned to Fang who gave his father a broad smile. The alpha pulled his son into a bone crushing hug until the child began protesting earning a few chuckles and snickers from the surrounding crowd. "Be good and if anyone hurts you-"

The sub rolled his eyes. "I'll be fine dad." Standing, he ruffled his boys' head both of them protesting and whining knocking their father's hands away and proceeding to fix their hair again. Felix hugged his mother and Fang went around to each member of his family listening to their words of advice and rules to follow. He reached his uncle Ryan and he did the handshake with him they'd made up only about a year ago. Fang was very fond of his uncle; he was the best. He even had a handshake for Felix as well and Fang watched his brother and uncle make the gesture.

Ellie hugged both her sons tightly holding them for well over five minutes before finally letting go. "You two look after each other." Both boys turned to face their grandfather who'd spoken giving him an identical half smirk half smile in return.

Everyone knew that look. They'd look after each other but there were no promises that they'd stay out of trouble. Those two were quite the trouble makers; forever hunting it down and forever finding it.

With one last simultaneous salute, they hustled into the back seat of the car strapping themselves in.

"Eddie, take care of my boys." Jack warned to the driver who simply nodded and did something of a salute. Jack then closed the door feeling regret starting to build as Eddie started the engine and the car retreated away from them.

"They'll be fine Jack." Ellie said in a reassuring voice as she placed her head against her husband's shoulder.

The twins entered the school compound and immediately Fang started feeling awkward which had everything to do with the fact that everyone's eyes were on them.

"Felix?" he called in a hushed tone drawing his brother's attention. The dominant destined boy looked over to his smaller counterpart to find him looking slightly agitated and all uncomfortable.

"Are they staring because of me?" Felix looked around to find a lot of eyes on them. While some eyes were on him, he hated the fact that most of the attention was directed at his brother and all that attention came from dominant destined boys. Glaring at each dominant destined boy they passed by whose eyes roamed over Fang, Felix gripped his brother's hand tightly and pulled him closer.

Feeling very awkward with the situation, the sub pulled the hood of his shirt up over his head and lowered his head in a manner to hopefully shrug off some of the attention he was getting which he absolutely hated.

"Why are they staring?" Fang asked again in a hushed voice.

"Probably because they can't figure out of you're a dominant or a sub. While you have more sub-like looks about you; you have black hair which is common in dominants."

Up until 12th we just went and sat at a classroom. All the teachers come to our classroom and go when they are done. only in college did I get a schedule and had to hop around class like that.

My first day in school. I was constantly worried my brother would forget me and the auto will leave without me. I sat there crying the whole day and didn't take the balloon when the teacher gave it to me. Later when I felt okay I asked for a balloon, but no balloon was left. I was left crying again.😃
