Chapter3
The MC introduced the exchange students. There were students from Brazil, Germany, U.S.A and Taipei. They all made speech and yeah, his speech was pretty good this time. It was better than the one he made at the class in the morning.
I looked for him and found him taking photo with girls.
And next to them, I found my best friend talking to a girl from taipei so I joined them. Her Japanese was brilliant. And I asked her "Itsukara nihongo bennkyou shiteru no?" "Ettone, sannenn gurai kana.." "Nihongo jouzudane!" "Arigatou!" She was so cute.
And he came to me and my best-friend. "What's up?"
My best-friend answered "We were just talking to with a girl whose name is neko." she said. I was surprised because I forgot to ask her name and didn't know about it. And they continued, "Oh, I know her. Well, her name means cat right?" " Yeah. She is so cute."
"Haha." He laughed.
She left and finally we could talk."Where should we go after this?" he asked me. "We can go to Starbucks in Machida or dinner for friday's?"I suggested, "Well, my host mother said I need to go back for dinner though.""Ok,let's go to Starbucks then."
Welcome party was over and we walked to the station. He told me about his school and life in America.
At the bridge on the way to the station, I felt his hand was touching mine and I grabbed his hand. He looked at me and smiled.
No-one was around us. We kept walking.
We reached to the station and waited a bit for the train's arrival. When we reached to Machida station, we went to the
Starbucks in the Tokyu-building.
We found seats and he said "You can wait here. What do you wanna have?" "We can share. Get what you want" "Ok."
It seemed so long while waiting for him. He came back with green-tea-latte and a sugar-donut. He said "I really like this donut though" I tried a bite. And was actually good and had some more."Hey, share please?"he said so I made judging face. "Ok. Fineeeeee."
He talked to me about his family. He has a little brother and his dad owns a company. I also talked about myself, too.
And I asked him about his necklace, I could see the chain but the charm. He putted out the charm from his shirt and showed me. It was a cross. So, I asked him "Are you a Christian?" "Yes, since I was little. " "So, you go to church every Sunday?" "Yeah, usually I go Sunday service."
I thought I better change the topic. But he changed it before I did. "Hey, can you give me a Japanese name?" "Why do you want? " "Because it's cool." "OK. Will you give me a name too? I mean a one like American girls have?" "Sure."
We both opened a memo in our phone and made a list, mumbling to each other.
"Hiro. I guess this matches to you." That sounds like Hero!"I like it! " "So. What is mine?" "Ah, your name is Jessica. Do you like it?" "Yeah. Hi, Hiro." "Hi, Jessica." "This is weird." "I know. Haha."
