"What do you mean there's a mix-up?" Josh complained to the front desk of the beach resort he brought Zach to.
"I'm really sorry sir, but the room you reserved got double booked and is presently occupied at this moment." The female concierge said apologetically.
"Is there anything wrong?" Zach asked as he walked up to the front desk and stood beside Josh.
"They double booked our room..." Josh sighed. "Is there any room available for us?" Josh asked, clearly irritated.
"There's one left but..." The concierge was clearly hesitant.
"What...?" Josh asked tiredly.
"It's the honeymoon suite..." She said slowly, looking and sounding afraid.
"What?! Are you kidding me?!" Josh complained.
"That sounds great! We'll take it!" Zach said excitedly.
"Wait. What? Are you serious?" Josh asked Zach, clearly taken aback.
"Yeah. Why not?" Zach said with a devious smile.
"You're going to take the room...?" The concierge asked confusedly.
"Yes. Why, is there anything wrong with that?" Zach asked.
"Hey, wait a minute." Josh was still a bit confused. "We can still look for another hotel." He said, trying to convince Zach.
"What are you so worried about? I think that room is the best for us." He said as he looked at Josh seriously. "We're checking in." Zach repeated to the front desk with a smile.
"Zach..." Josh complained defiantly as he looked at Zach with wide eyes, showing his displeasure at Zach's decision.
"Fine." Zach said sulkily. "If you don't want to take the room, then let's just go home." He said with a pout before turning back and walking to their luggage.
There was nothing that Josh could do but leave out a heavy sigh. "We'll take the room." Josh final said to the receptionist.
When Zach heard it, a mischievous grin broke out of his lips. "My plan worked..." He muttered under his breath before turning back to Josh with an innocent looking smile. In fact, Zach found out in advance the hotel Josh reserved. Zach made Jamie call the hotel and change their reserved room to the honeymoon suite by talking directly to the manager. They made an excuse that it was a surprise, and even arranged for the whole debacle of the room being double booked. Saying that a marriage proposal was being planned made it easier for them to convince the hotel manager to go on with their plan.
When they entered the honeymoon suite, Zach's smile was even brighter than before. He seemed really excited about the whole thing. Meanwhile, Josh couldn't even begin to comprehend the extravagance of the room itself.
The room had red all over, the bed was heart-shaped and had lays curtains on the bedpost. There were scented candle in every corner, and the bed was laid with red rose petals. Josh's mind simply exploded at the sight.
"Wow. This room is perfect!" Zach said excitedly. The looked exactly as he asked.
"Your over-eagerness about this whole thing scares me..." Josh said as he reluctantly walked inside the room. His heart was beating fast at that moment, his mind was anticipating different scenarios, all of which ends up with him being devoured by Zach. It's not like Josh hated the idea, he was simply not ready for that to happen yet, mentally speaking.
"Oh relax..." Zach said as he opened the curtain of the window. "I'm not going to do anything to you. Unless you want me to." He added as he turned his head to Josh and grinned deviously.
"Why does that scares me even more?" Josh said as he walked around the room, trying to calm his heart down, but to no avail. "This room is too much..."
"You're way too tense..." Zach said as he walked towards Josh. "You need to relax..." He said as he stepped behind Josh. "Loosen up a little bit..." He said as he massaged Josh's shoulder sensually.
"Hey..." Josh said as he stepped away from Zach. He felt electrified when Zach touched him, and it really surprised him. "I was not born yesterday, I know what you're trying to do." Josh said.
"What are you talking about? I told you, I won't do anything to you, unless you want me to." Zach said with a teasing smile.
"So, you're going to make want to, right? Hey, I'm not an idiot." Josh said.
"Ahh... you found it out..." Zach said with a chuckle.
Josh sighed. He knew that Zach was just fooling around with him, but still it was making him really nervous. "The weather is nice, let's go the beach. I'll go along with your little game later." He said.
"The. Let's go." Zach said enthusiastically with a smile. "I haven't been near the beach for so long." Zach really missed being out and about, being away from the city. The past six months was too stressful for him, and he was thankful to finally get away from all that.
"I'll just change, wait for me." Josh said as he took some clothes from his bag and went inside the bathroom.
Zach stepped in front of the vanity and looked at his own reflection in the mirror. He took his shirt off and then touched his left chest. Admittedly, the absence of the scar Josh thought he really had worries Zach.
"Are you sure about this?" Jamie asked him just the night before the trip. "Josh would see you without the scar. We never know how he would react."
"I know. He remembers about the first time he saw that scar on my chest, so he would be really confused seeing me without one know." Zach said nervously.
"But you're still going." Jamie said.
"Because I have this hope, Jamie. I'm hoping that if he sees me without the scar then he would remember." Zach sighed. "It would easier if he just remembers my condition, rather than explaining it to him all over again." Zach bit his lips. "He already knew about my brother, my alter, and the story about that scar, but he just lost those memories. All I need to do is make him remember."
"If he remembers, then you have keep your promise to me." Jamie said.
"I know. If Josh remembers, I'll continue the therapy." Zach said as his heart beat with nervousness.
Zach changed into his board shorts and t-shirt, and after a few minute, Josh came out of the bathroom. Josh was wearing board shorts and a sleeveless shirt that showed off the muscles on his arms pretty well.
The moment Zach saw how Josh looked, his cheeks blushed instantly. "You look... hot..." He muttered without inhibitions.
Josh smiled at the comment. His intention, in the first place, was to impress Zach, and it was working out really well for him. The innocent and meek Zach he knew would never say something like that, and Josh was really happy to hear it at that moment. He felt proud.
