Hi everyone! This is my first book and I know it may not be the best but do give it a shot. Happy reading!

CHAPTER 1 - Leaving memories behind

"Cher , come downstairs honey! We're going to be late! I don't want to miss that flight!" A voice called from below the floor. It was a pleasant one but this time Cher dreaded hearing it. Because this time it meant that she had to go. This time it meant that she would be leaving everything behind- her friends, school, social life.....everything.

Cher was an ordinary teenage girl with a normal group of friends and an average life. No drugs, shots or weeds. She always had a hard time getting to know people. It wasn't that she was shy. Hell no! She was different. Carefree, independant- that's what she was made of. She didn't care about relationships, or how her hair looked, or whether she was eating too much. She did what made her happy. But there weren't many people like her. That's what made it difficult.

Moving had always found this girl in a tough situation. Finding friends had seemed to her as a mission to be accomplished, but it took her quite a while to succeed in it.

Taking in one last glance of her room- the posters, paintings, and the like, she lifted her already heavy suitcase off her bed and reluctantly dragged it down the stairs, not wanting to leave.

" Cher! Don't make such a racket!" Drew, her twin brother, yelled. " It's annoying!" Ignoring him, she continued thumping her suitcase down the flight of stairs, intending to irritate Drew. She didn't hate him; they were actually quite closely knit, but right now she wanted to stab him. It was because of Drew that her family was moving. Her brother had gotten a scholarship in one of the top uni's in London. Yes, London. Her friends had pestered her about how lucky she was to be able to live there. But she knew it might be amazing to them as all they cared about was shopping- what a better place than London for a shopping spree. But she didn't care. Not one bit.

The thought of leaving all her memories with her best friends- Demetra and Leah- was killing her. She wanted to take them with her, to be able to spend the rest of their lives together, but that was impossible.

Cher was hardly ever weepy, but her thoughts made it extremely difficult to fight back tears. With her eyes flooded , she made her way to the front door. Walking a few steps ahead, she turned around for a last view of her home. " I'll miss u." She whispered. Clambering to the back seat, tears clinging on to her long eyelashes, she turned her face towards the window, trying to hide her tears, which were now falling uncontrolably onto her lap.
