It had been half an hour and they were still locked in the spare room at Laura's house. Sat next to each other with their backs against the wall, Amy took hold of Rory's hand and started stroking it.
"I'm really sorry for all the things I said to you" she looked at him, "you were grieving as well, and I just pushed you away and away, I should have let you in".
"I just wish things didn't have to end, Jamie's life, our marriage, I just wish there was a way we could go back in time, make everything okay again".
"I know, me too".
He looked at her and she looked back at him, "I really miss you Amy".
"I miss you too" she teared up, "I still love you, you know that right?"
"I know, I still love you too, I always will, it's the promise I made to you when I married you, and I never break my promises" he leant in to kiss her forehead just as Amy sat up straighter, he took this as a hint and kissed her on the lips for a few seconds before pulling away slightly. "Sorry".
"No, don't apologise, just kiss me again".
He looked at her for a couple of seconds before wrapping one of his arms around her waist, kissing her passionately.
