Chapter 11

It took a long time for everyone to fall asleep. I tried, but I couldn't. I walked out of the guard tower. I walked to the wheat fields. I laid down and thought about my life and everything happening around me.
   I heard footsteps. I got up and looked around. Laurence walked up the road. He saw me and walked up to me.
   "What are you doing out here at night. You know it's dangerous to be on the streets when it's dark," said Laurence.
   "Why are you following me?" I asked.
   "Because I have the same thoughts as you," said Laurence. We stared at each other for about a minute. I started feeling weird inside. I wanted to run up to him and hug him.
   I must be feeling love. It's been so long since I've felt love, that I forgot what it feels like.
   "I just don't understand what's happening. A bunch of Shadow Knights are after me. Some person named Kiki got kidnapped and killed. It's like who ever is behind this is leaving little crumbs to the truth behind all this. I'm so confused," I said. But I was most confused about why Zane wanted me back after he sent me on a bounty hunt for Lord Aphmau, I didn't say that though. Laurence could kick me out of Phoenix Drop for that.
"I understand how you feel. We all know for sure that this whole situation has to do with Shadow Knights. I wonder how many Shadow Knights are here in the wall of Phoenix Drop right now," said Laurence.
The thought of multiple Shadow Knights camping inside the walls if Phoenix Drop sent a shiver down my spine.
I wanted to find out more about the kidnapping and homicide of Kiki.
"Laurence, will you be mad if I said I wanted to investigate the murder of Kiki. If we find the murderer, then we might be able to find out more about the Shadow Knight's plan for Phoenix Drop," I said. I didn't forget about the time when a Shadow Knight told me to pass a message to Zane. I could use that knowledge to my advantage.
   "You do know there are Shadow Knights creeping around in those woods, right?" asked Laurence.
   "I don't care. Let's go," I said.
We took off towards the woods.

Kiki's P.O.V. (*grins*)
I woke up to darkness. There was a dim light in the the room. It looked like a cave. I saw 2 redstone torches on the wall. I was tied up to the cave wall. I had duct tape around my mouth. I looked up to see a man working on something. I could sense very dark magic emitting from him and whatever he was doing.
   It felt like...Shadow Magic. Just the thought of it sent a shiver down my spine. I cocked my head to see what he was doing. He was enchanting a silhouette. It was just a shadowy figure of a woman. She had long hair and cat ears. As he kept chanting a spell, the silhouette started to take color. The silhouette had light pink hair.
I almost screamed when I realized who it was. She was covered with blood. A chunk of her face was missing.
She was a decaying corpse.
   It was Kawaii~Chan.
   Only, it wasn't Kawaii~Chan.
It was a enchanted silhouette made to look like the decaying corpse of Kawaii~Chan. But that would mean... if this man who kidnapped me wanted to make sure no one found me...
   Somewhere, the people of Phoenix Drop had found a silhouette that looked like MY decaying corpse.
They would never find me, thinking I was dead.
I turned my head to the left of me.
There laid an unconscious Kawaii~Chan.
The REAL Kawaii~Chan.
She had been kidnapped too. Soon, the people of Phoenix Drop would find a silhouette that looked like Kawaii~Chan's decaying corpse. I screamed, but the duct tape muffled some of it out. The man enchanting the silhouette turned to look at me. I started crying. I tried break free of the rope and run away. No one was ever going to find me or Kawaii~Chan. We were going to rot to death in this cave, just like out fake silhouettes. Why was this man doing this to us?

SURPRISE!!! Kiki's ALIVE, but no one might find her. Hopefully Shay and Laurence will find out Kiki's corpse is fake at will start looking for her. I kinda left a cliffhanger for you.
