Two weeks later Kit was wondering what was going on around her. The girls in the club seemed especially giggly and Justin seemed to be up to something. He kept slipping into his office.

It was a typical Friday night at the club, other than the odd behavior of those around her.

Then closing time came and Kit noticed that some of the regulars weren't leaving.

"Is it time to tell her?" Jasper asked, "I'm dying here!!"

"Come on Kit!" Justin said, leading her to his office.

When Justin opened the office door, Kit gasped. The office was completely changed. She had just cleaned it Tuesday night. In the days since, Justin had completely removed all the furniture and the entire room was transformed.

Gone was the giant sectional. There was a tasteful, leather sofa. It had been arranged on the same side of the large room as the bar, sound system and television. There was also a large cherry wood armoire on that side of the room and an oval coffee table. That side of the room had been arranged to look like a cozy living room.

Justin came up behind her, putting his arms around her. "That sofa makes into a bed." Then he walked to the armoire and opened it. "The bedding is in these drawers." He opened an empty drawer, "this drawer is mine. This one is yours. I still think it's a good idea to be prepared to stay here if the weather gets ugly or something, but you will be the only woman to ever see that bed. I swear."

Kit felt her throat catch. Tears threatened. He knew. When she didn't want to stay here, he understood.

She turned, trying to not cry and ruin the moment when she spotted the desks. Two. Smaller than the original desk had been. Sitting side by side. Both made of cherry wood, both had cherry wood shelves behind them,

On the wall above one shelf was a photo of Kit and Justin at the Christmas party. Blown up so it covered the entire area above the shelves.

Kit looked around the room. On the wall above the new sofa was the picture of Kit with the unicorn. It had been painted onto a canvas and was huge!

"I hope you're OK with that." Justin said. "I fell in love with that picture. I ordered that the very next day. They got it done about a week ago."

"Why are there two desk?" Kit asked.

"One is yours. This is half your office now. You can change it however you want!" Justin said, then added, "well. I'd kinda like it if you let me keep the pictures."

He looked at Kit to find large tears streaming down her face.

"Yep! I knew that was coming!" He laughed and handed her a tissue. "It's happy tears right? Please say you're happy!"

Kit threw herself into Justin's arms. "You're the most wonderful man on the planet. I was being so dumb and I knew I was being dumb, but you did all this anyway. It's wonderful. Thank you so much!"

"You weren't being dumb Kit." Justin said, kissing her tears. "And I needed to change things. That office was a bachelor pad. I need a place for us. That's what this is. It's our place. You can come here anytime you want now."

"You are amazing." Kit said.

"Well that was just step one of me being amazing!" Justin grinned, "now for step two! Oh! Don't worry about curfew. I called your mom!"

"And told her what? " Kit asked, mystified.

"That you were having your first ever girls' slumber party!" Justin said, just as they got back to the club and Kit found her four favorite regular customers and five female servers eating pizza with Jasper.

Kit looked confused.

"Jas and I will clean up and leave after your bellies are full." Justin grinned. "I gave you awful memories in that office, a couple of desks won't fix that. So these girls are gonna fix it! Y'all have fun tonight and enjoy the new office. Then, tomorrow you'll have all new memories."

Kit felt the tears threatening. Justin pulled her to him and kissed her, hard. He lingered in the kiss until they began to hear the girls behind them giggle.

Justin pulled back to see Kit red faced.

"I figured you didn't want to cry in front of them." He whispered.

"OK, umm thank you." Kit said, not sure that making out in front of them was better.

"Let's go put on PJ"s!" Casey, one of the servers, yelled.

Kit looked concerned for a second, then Jasper handed her a box.
"Your jammies!" He announced. "I bought em as soon as Justin started this crazy plan!"

Kit opened the box. Inside was a pair of footed pajamas. They were pink. She pulled them out and started to laugh. They had a tail, and a hood with a unicorn horn.

"These are awesome Jas! Thank you!" Kit giggled and ran to change with the other girls.

Two hours later, Kit sat cross legged on the floor in Justin's office, surrounded by girls.

"I can't believe how sweet he is." One server said. "He always seems so detached?"

"No. He's secretly very sweet." Kit said, "he is trying so hard to deal with all my stupidity. It's really not fair."

"So, what was this place like before?" Casey asked, looking around the office.

"A bachelor pad." Kit said, "it had this massive sofa that made into a massive bed and a great big mahogany desk. It was all geared at impressing women I guess."

"Worked on you!" One of the regulars quipped.

"No." Kit giggled, "that was the guy he wanted people to believe was him. He wasn't really that guy at all. I hated his office."

"Is that why he changed it?" Someone asked.

"Ummm. No. Not exactly." Kit said, "that was probably because of me being kinda silly. Well. Really silly. Actually, I kinda acted like an idiot."

"What on earth happened?" Casey asked, "I can't imagine you being an idiot."

"Ummm. Am I allowed to talk about that?" Kit asked, unsure. "I mean, I don't know the rules. My last boyfriend was freshman year."

"It's just us." Janie, another server, said. "Besides if it's to do with his screwing around, we all know anyway."

"Well, y'all know I work part time for Justin's oil company right?" Some knew, some didn't, so Kit explained her duties with the company, including cleaning the office and keeping Justin's records in order.

"To be honest, he hired me to sweet talk the crankier clients, but it turns out that I'm really good at organizing and scheduling and stuff, so my job got bigger." Kit said, "anyway, that's how I found the panties under the sofa one day. I was cleaning the office."

"Oh you're kidding!" Someone said.

"Did you like freak out and yell at him?" Casey asked, sympathy thick in her voice.

"No." Kit said, "we weren't dating or anything. I wasn't even always sure he didn't hate me."

"Still, you liked him right?" Someone asked.

"Yeah." Kit sighed, "but I tried not to. Anyway, between the panties and the woman who gave me blow by blow details of what she'd done in here, I pretty much hated the office, but then came the week after Thanksgiving when I started to really hate that dang couch. I wanted to burn that couch!"

The girls all listened, captivated, as Kit described the day at the amusement park and the giant unicorn and kissing Justin. Kit told them about Thanksgiving and how comfortable she'd been snuggled onto his chest.

After hearing how Kit had found herself completely in love with him against her will, there wasn't a dry eye in the room when she described the blond in his bed.

"He didn't even know her name." Kit sighed. "And she asked if I was his girlfriend so casually. Like it was no big deal if I was."

"So you lost it then?" Someone asked.

"No." Kit said, "I took care of the business, gave him my truck and walked to school. I did cry all the way to school though."

"Why didn't you tell him off?" Janie demanded.

"I was just his employee y'all. I didn't have any more right to be mad than one of y'all would've." Kit sighed. "He knew he'd made me sad though. He felt terrible and after that he told me he was done with the one night stands. Then, on the night he took me to that party," Kit motioned to the large framed picture, "he told me he loved me. The next day we started dating."

"Why the next day?" Asked Casey.

"Because I had accidentally gotten drunk at the party and right after he told me, I passed out. So we had to kinda review it all the next day." Kit said.

"So, how do you feel about this place now?" Janie asked, motioning around the room, "I mean it's still the room where he screwed all those women right?"

"No!" Kit said brightly. "It's totally different! That was Justin's creepy sex place. This is our office. How could I not totally love it after he worked so hard?" She paused and looked at the giant painting, "well, I could do without that!"

"Are you kidding?" Casey declared, "that's the best part! Anybody who walks into this office instantly knows that you are important. Plus, you know anytime he's in here he's thinking about you!"

"I know that anyway." Kit laughed, "he text at least ten times a day."

After that, the girls talked about the date Casey and Conner had just gone on and Janie admitted to crushing on Stark. The girls talked about crushes and heart breaks and first until they fell asleep.

At eight the next morning, Kit woke to her phone ringing.

"You girls come on out here." Mom said, "breakfast is ready."

The girls all had a nice breakfast with Kit's mom, then they gathered their things and headed home.

As mom was helping Kit clean the office back up she approached the subject of Justin.

"Did you know Justin was here last night?" Mom asked.

"He and Jas left about one" Kit offered.

"No." Mom said, "Jasper left, Justin slept in the other office. He let me in this morning."

"Why would he do that?" Kit asked.

"He didn't want you girls in here alone." Mom offered.

"But he didn't even tell me!" Kit exclaimed.

"I think he probably never planned on you knowing." Mom admitted, "Kit. Have you and Justin talked about the future at all?"

"Like me going to college and stuff." Kit said.

"Y'all just seem to have suddenly become really intense." Mom said, "that worries me."

"I don't understand." Kit admitted.

"You don't act like a couple who just started dating Kit." Mom clarified, "I'm afraid you're gonna end up rushing things. I don't want you to do that."

"If you're talking about sex you don't have to worry." Kit said casually, "I told him already that I want to have sex now."

Mom's mouth flew open and Kit held up a hand, "he told me he absolutely would not do that until we were married." She said, "we haven't gone past kissing mom, and we won't."

Mom looked speechless. "I may have misjudged Justin." She said quietly.

"Most do!" Kit said brightly and took the clothes mom brought the office bathroom to get ready for work.
