Footstep started to come up the stairs slowly "Hello? Anyone home?" another voice called out

"Hi mum" Dan called out from the lounge room, I was guessing this was Dan's side of the family, I peeked around the corner and saw Dan hugging the person I was guessing was my uncle, there were around six people surrounding Dan, both from then looked away

"Now" A voice called out "Where is my granddaughter?" I look over to Phil see he has smirked face, I shook my head and mouthed the word 'no'

"She's in the kitchen!" Phil called out, I let out a gulp and moved to furthest corner and stood still, two pairs of pounding feet started making their way to the kitchen, two woman walked around the corner and instantly saw me, one had short blonde hair and blue eye, guessing Phil's mum, and a taller woman with brown hair and brown eyes, guessing that was Dan's mum, they both stumbling over to me, I was suddenly was pulled into a tight squeezed by Dan's mum whilst Phil said hi to his mum, I squeaked from her hugging me too tight, Dan's mum let go of me and Phil's mum started to hug me tight, a little too tight

"Okay, Okay, I need some air" I said gasping for air, Phil's mum lets go

"Oh my gosh, she is just what I imagined her to be." Phil's mum said to Phil, Phil laughed

"Come on, the kitchen is getting a bit crowded" Phil said leading out of the kitchen, I followed.

We all sat around the dining table, me poking my left over food whilst the adults talked about talked about what has happened the last couple weeks.

"EJ started school for the first time a couple weeks ago, right EJ?" Dan's mum asked, tears filled my eyes, all I thought about was Megan, I stood up

"May I leave the table?" I asked Phil, he nodded; I left the table and walked into my room, closing my door. I flopped back onto my bed, wiping my eyes, holding my breath in. I could hear them talking about Megan making me cry more; I sit up and look around my room. I stand up and grab my backpack, I wipe my nose and walk about of my room, I look down at my shoes "Uh, I'm gonna go out for a bit." I sniffed

"Okay, just be home before dark." Phil smiled, I nodded and walked out of the lounge room and down to the front door, the cold breeze hit me, making me sigh of relief, taking steps slowly, I guess it's a good thing.
