\\ Chapter 5 //

We walked around the mall, getting to know each other, well more like us getting to know Calum. He likes all the same bands as us and more, he plays bass, he wants to be in a band, he wants to write his own music, he knows someone who is into the same stuff as us. This persons name is apparently Luke Hemmings and he is meant to be coming to our school soon so we can talk to him and possibly become friends.
Calum so far seemed pretty genuine. Let's hope he doesn't do a full 360 and turn on us.
We continued to talk and eat until it was like we were best friends and we had been friends for ages. I checked my phone to see the time because we had been waking and talking for ages and it was probably time to get back soon. Turns out we had 15 minutes till class starts and it takes us about 8 minutes to get back. "Hey guys, we should head back, we have 15 minutes till class starts" The boys nodded and we made our way back.
We got back just in time because we had 5 minutes to get our books and head in. We ran to our bags and got our stuff then ran to the next class. We had 2 minutes.
Some people were just arriving while others were already seated, there wasn't many so we were presumably early considering the amount of people that bothered to show.
Class went by a breeze and it was eventually time to go. Calum, Michael and I walked out of the building. "So do use want to catch up later? Maybe I could get ahold of Luke and we could meet. Maybe we could start a band!" Calum exclaimed excitedly. "Sure, your place? And what time?" I asked. "Yea, I have a big garage we can set up in and um about 5ish if thats alright?" He asked. Michael and I nodded. Calum gave us his number and texted us his address. "See you guys then" He yelled as he ran to his car an drove away. I looked at Michael who had the same face of confusion. "What just happened?" Michael asked. I looked ta him, dumbfounded. "I really have no idea  but I'll see you there" I gave Michael a hug and walked to Ashton's car. He was sitting in there with harry and Lauren as I expected. "Hey. How was your day?" He asked, seeming a little agitated. I looked at him. "It was weird" I said, scrunching my face up. He nodded and left it at that.
The ride home was silent. Kind of awkward if you ask me but that's just my opinion.
We arrived home and it was around 4:30. Ashton decided to stop for ice cream for Harry and Lauren. I ran upstairs and got changed into something more chill. My black converse, black track suit pants and a three quarter length top that had 'I'm not cute, I'm punk rock' on it. I put a beanie on, it was grey. It matched my outfit of laziness perfectly. "Hey Ash, is it alright if I go to a friends house for a bit?" I asked as I walked downstairs. He looked up at me and nodded. "Thanks Ashton. If you need anything just call me okay?" He nodded and held his arms out. I walked up to him and gave him a hug. I waved goodbye and used my car to drive to Calum's house which was only about 7 minutes away. We all practically lived in a circle. I got there and it was about 5:05pm. I parked out the front and got out, locking my car. I walked up to the door and knocked, waiting patiently. An older looking women opened the door. "Hello, you must be Lola, Calum has told me so much about you. I'm glad he has made some friends he fits in with. I hated those other people. They were so mean and absurd. Come in my dear." I smiled and stepped in. "I'm Mrs Hood, you can call me Joy" I smiled at her. "Thank you Joy, are the boys downstairs?" She nodded and pointed me in the direction. I smiled at her and headed downstairs, I instantly heard laughing. I knocked when I was at the bottom, there was another door. Calum opened the door with a big smile as soon as he saw me. "Hey Lola, how are you?" He asked, greeting me with a hug and pulling me inside. "I'm great, thanks Cal." I smiled at him. "Cal." He whispered to himself. "I like that" He smiled. I smiled back at him. He turned and looked over his shoulder. "That's Luke, uh Luke, this is Lola Harper" He said, introducing us to each other. "Hi" I said smiling back at him. "Hey" He said, smirking. Baby boy act much? I can tell he ins't going to be too friendly, heck he doesn't even look friendly. He looks like a major player. Steer clear of that one. "So uh I'm gonna order some pizza for us and um just don't kill each other and we should be good." Calum said as he walked away and upstairs. We kind sat there awkwardly until Luke spoke. "So uh what are your favourite bands?" Michael jumped at the question and fired away. Luke and him discussed bands while I went to the xbox in the corner. I took out COD II and played Zombies as I am amazing at it. Calum had xbox live so I decided to use it because why not. I didn't use the microphone so I left that. I had the volume not too loud either as the boys were talking. Calum was taking a while so I continued to play. I was doing so good, the best I've ever done. I was already up to wave 20, still reasonably easy. I had two 'pack a punched' guns so I was lucky. I was also coming first, points wise. Calum came back downstairs and saw me playing. He moved to sit down behind me on the lounge as I was sitting on the floor. Luke and Michael came and sat down behind me on the lounge also. By this time I was already on wave 24. The other guys playing with me were doing pretty good. They were all high levels so we were going to get far. An hour passed of me still playing and no one went down. I was on wave 38. Pizza was eaten but I still sat there. The boys bought me a whole pizza so I could have some when we finished. "Lola, are you going to um stop anytime soon?" Michael asked and I shrugged. I loved this game it was the best. "Um are you going to eat your pizza?" Luke asked me. I shrugged again. We were then up to wave 45, the waves kept getting harder. The 3 boys had gone down now and it was up to me. Lucky we just got max ammo so I could possibly finish the level. "What time is it?" I asked no one. "Uh, it's 8:30." Calum responded. I nodded. The zombies became too much and I went down. I have 102000 points. My highest record. Michael was amazed as he is a massive gamer. The others were clapping and had massive smiles on their faces. "I'm hungry now." I announced, eating my pizza. The boys laughed and started asking me questions about how I got so good and stuff like that.

I decided to go home after an hour. Ashton's probably wondering where I am.
I said goodbye to Calum, Luke and Michael and hopped in my car to go home.
When I got home it was quiet, I could faintly hear talking. Ashton must be watching T.V in my room. I walked upstairs and there I saw him, resting on top of the bed with the T.V on. He was still awake so as soon as I stepped in, he saw me. "Hey." I said, smiling at him. "Hi." He responded. I got my pyjamas off my bed and went to the shower.
When I cam out the T.V was off and Ashton was under the covers. Somethings wrong.
I got under and faced hime. "Ash?" I asked softly. He turned to face me, showing his face and not his back. "Are you okay?" I asked. Looking him in the eye, he seemed off, upset. "Yep, just peachy." he responded with a flat voice and no emotion evident. I let it go and rolled over, facing the other way. He huffed and wrapped his arms around me. There is something going on with him, I just don't know what.
"Hey, Lola. Your late for school." Ashton announced in my ear. I woke up wide eyed and raced to get dressed. Ashton laughed at me and shook his head. I was so frantic that I forgot that Ashton was in the room and got changed right in front of him. I turned around after getting changed and ready to go and saw that it was only 6:30. I turned to look at Ashton, he was smiling and trying so hard not to crack up laughing. I am going to kill him. "Your um early now." Ashton said, laughing a little bit. His smile soon faded after he saw the look on my face. "I'm sorry, I didn't know you'd do this." He said quickly, running to the door. I chased after him and grabbed his waist, pulling him down on the lounge. He stopped laughing, as did I. Ashton was on top of me. We were very close. Actually extremely close, I could feel his breath on my face. He started to get closer to me, if that was even possible and I freaked out. I have always had feelings for Ashton. Small, but only up until I started year 9 did they fade away and all I saw of him was an older brother figure. Ashton has always been shy around me though. Well a lot more distant now. Before I could even register what was happening his lips were on mine. God, I love Ashton but, not in that way. My  lips moved against his, god, I'm just leading him on now.
I broke away from his touch. He looked at me with a state of shock written on his face, he must have been surprised with himself, as surprised as I. "Ashton." I started to say before I was interrupted with cries. I ran over to him and gave him a hug. "Ashton, talk to me what's wrong?" I looked at him, upset, distraught, vulnerable. I've never seen my Ashy so upset. He looked at me after a while. "Lola, I need to tell you something, it's extremely important, you have to promise not to tell anyone yet okay?" I nodded however I was scared for what was to come.
