Nightly Double (18)

"Wow you look... just wow" Ponyboy stuttered.

"Thanks" I walked over to him and gave him a hug.

"You look great too!" Soda said to Alice.

"Aww thanks babe" She went over and kissed him on the cheek.

Darry was sleeping so we were trying to be quiet so he wouldn't know about us sneaking out on a double date. We all hopped in the car and drove their. Once we got their we drove in to a perfect spot. The movie started and I snuggled up next to Pony. After a while I wanted some popcorn and a drink.

"Hey Pony." I gently nudged his shoulder so he would look at me.

"Can you get me a coke and some popcorn?" I asked.

"Sure babe I'll be right back." He responded.

"Thanks babe" I said back.

He got up and left with Soda. It was just Alice and I in the car when two socs came over and started talking to us.

It dawned on me after a little bit that they were clearly drunk and just looking for trouble.

"Hey our boyfriends are going to be back soon so..." I was trying to be firm without raising my voice and making them angry.

"Hey babe how about a kiss?" One of them leaned their face through the window towards me.

"Ew no!!" I screamed and slapped him.

Another one then tried to open the door and grab us out. I started screaming and he pulled me closer. At this point I was kicking him not caring that I was making a scene. I mean for gods sake I was getting sexually assaulted.

Then Pony and Soda ran out of the concession stand towards me and Alice. We were both still kicking and screaming.

"Hey get off of them!" Yelled Ponyboy. He shoved one of the guys that was holding onto me.

I got behind him as him and Soda squared up.

"What are you greasers going to do about it?"

Soda took a swing and punched one of the guys in the face. That caused an all out fist fight between the five of them. Alice and I stood back as they kept punching and kicking each other.

I couldn't bear to watch afraid of what I might see. Alice on the other hand seemed perfectly content watching, and was practically cheering them on.

After about fifteen twenty minutes I heard one of the drunks speak.

"Fuck this." I turned around and saw that the socs were retreating.

I screamed in joy and ran over to them. I jumped in Pony's arms and wrapped my legs around his torso. We started making out against the car.

When I tasted blood. I pulled back and touched my lips then glanced down at my fingertips. I had blood on my lips and now on my fingers. I looked at Ponyboy and I saw that he had a busted lip.

"Awe Pony your lip is busted." I said touching the side of his cheek near his mouth.

"Yeah we better go home anyways someone might've called the fuzz." Soda said.

"Yeah lets go." Alice added.

We all got back in the car and Soda drove back. I cuddled next to Pony the whole ride. Kissing his cheek and playing with his fingers. I was gentle because his knuckles were bleeding. So were Soda's and he had a bruise on the side of his face.

Once we got home I pulled Pony in the bathroom to clean him up. I wrapped his knuckles and cleaned his lips. I wanted to kiss them so bad, but knew I shouldn't.

"Thanks." I said when I was dabbing at his lip.

"For what?" He asked.

"For sticking up for us like that. Defending us. That was really sweet of you." I replied.

"Well I couldn't just let those jerks be assholes to you" He said.

"That's why I love you." I replied leaning in and kissing his cheek.

"I love you too" He said kissing my cheek.

"I'm gonna go for a walk." I said suddenly.

"Uh okay do you want me to go with you?" Pony asked seeming a little confused.

"Uh no I'm good. I want you to rest." I said.

I took him by the hand and into his room he laid down and I gently kissed him before leaving the house.
