A Kick In the Face

"Hey loser" I shouted to Savannah

"Look who is talking, Freak" she replied

" You coming to the game or are you staying home with your your boyfriends Netflix and Junk Food" I said throwing my arm over her shoulder as I walked inside her house with her.

"It's your first game at St. George's of course I'm going and the best part is... wait for it. It's against your old school!" she shouted with too much excitement.

" Yeyyy" I dragged out as I gave her a flat stare.

" Come on... You should be excited you are going to get to see your old buds again" She tried comforting even though it made me feel worse.

Ever since I found out we would be playing against St.Bernard's I haven't really been looking forward to the game, but at the same time I have you know? It's sort of like leaving someone you love behind and when you are going to see that person again you are nervous because you don't know how they are going to react.

" I'm just really nervous, what if they hate me because I left and now I'm going against them"  I asked her while nervously rocking back and forth on my feet.

" Ellie they are not going to hate you, I don't hate you and you left me." she said trying to cheer me up

" But that's different" I argued

" How is it different" 

"Well. One you aren't on the soccer team so I am not betraying you. Two you live across from me and Elijah lives with you so I will be visiting you even more than before" I proved my point

"Is it even possible for you to come over even more than you already do? And are you saying that if my cousin didn't live here you wouldn't visit me anymore" she said while dramatically putting her hand where her heart is located.

"I'm just saying it's a good thing that he lives here because now I can kill two birds with one stone. But anyway you need to go change while I call Finn to bring me my uniform. Oh and hurry up if we we want to get there in time" I said while reaching for my phone.

It ringed twice before Finn answered 

"I'm on my way to your house with the uniform" Finn said

" Actually I'm at Savannah's"

" OK. Is it fine if I catch a ride with you guys. I don't think I'm going to be able to make it back to school in time for the bus."

" Yeah just hurry up. I can't wait to see Mr. Williams face when he sees me"

"Whatever I'll see you there" He said before he hung up

As soon as I put my phone away I saw Elijah enter the house.

" Hey Elliott what are you doing here" He said with a suspicious look on his face.

" Well don't sound so glad to see me" I rolled my eyes

" Sorry I'm not ecstatic but the last time I saw you I almost got in trouble"

" That hurts Jones, It hurts right in my heart" I feigned hurt

"What heart" he snorted

" Wow fuck you then" I walked out the house right in time to see Finn walking my way.

"About time, what took you so long, you live like three houses away" I said while getting my uniform out the bag he handed me.

" Sorry The Walking Dead was on" he said sheepishly.

" Nothing is more important than me playing football and getting to make a fool out of the principal. Not even The Walking Dead" I scoffed and walked back inside the house.

" Cover your eyes" I told the two boys

" Go change in the bathroom Elliott" Elijah told me

" Vanna is in there and I don't want to walk all the way upstairs. So cover your eyes or I will rip them out" I threatened and this time they actually listened.

" Are you not going to the game Jones?" I asked Elijah to erase any temptations of him turning around and seeing my sexy body. Just Kidding. Maybe.

"  And miss a chance to see the principal humiliated" He said and even though he was turned around I could tell he was grinning.

"OK I'm ready" I said at the same time as Savannah opened the bathroom door

" Me too" 

"Lets go then" Finn shouted already walking out the door.

We all climbed in to my car seeing as it's the biggest out of the four of us.

As we arrived to St.Bernard's we all got out of the car and me and Finn walked to the direction our school's bus was arriving and Savannah and Elijah walked to the field benches.

" Finn! Man where were you, we thought you were backing out" David Harris shouted as he spotted Finn.

"Nahh I just had some errands to run" Finn replied

" Elliott? What are you doing here you aren't allowed to play" David told me with narrowed eyes

"Actually I am allowed to play, I'm just not allowed on St. George's school grounds" I replied with a smug look on my face.

" Alright makes sense. Well what are we waiting for let's go kick some arse" He cheered and soon everyone one on the team was cheering with him including me and Finn.

We all ran to the field and smiled as people cheered for our team. But soon everything went quite when the moment I had been waiting for arrived.

" ELLIOTT GREY!" Everybody stopped what they were doing and looked at me when the booming voice of our principal was heard through the coach's megaphone.

I walked up to where Mr. Williams was seated and innocently asked " Yes Mr. Williams?"

" Oh you are in real trouble now young lady" He said with this voice that made me want to punch the fat out of him.

" I'm sorry?" I said keeping up my act.

" You young lady are not supposed to be here, you are suspended. But now... now you aren't only suspended you are going to be expelled and most likely giving a fine for invading school property while given strict rules to stay out of school grounds while suspended" He finished with a smirk on his face.

" Not this school property" I replied with a look that said (Isn't it true though)

"Excuse me?" He said with a this look on his face that not even the most stupid person could pull off.

" When I first got my suspension you said I wasn't aloud on school grounds, St. George's school's grounds not St.Bernard's and I am not in St.George's meaning I am aloud to be here." I said with the smuggest look on my face.

The principal turned to look at coach for confirmation, only to have him agree with me.

" I hate to say this Mr.Williams but she is right" My old principal from St. Bernard's said surprising all of us.

You could hear the whispers among people and their shocked faces where priceless but there was one face that was one I would never forget. Mr. Williams face.

He turned around to look at me with a look that was given to me one too many times. A look that was invented just for me.  A look that said. ' I will get you back Elliott Grey'
