Nordic 5 Headcanons

Sweden: He's a little nervous at first to hug someone because he isn't always sure if that's what they want/need. If a greeting, his hugs are quick and kinda empty. But if you need him to be there for you and you're breaking down in tears, he'll gather you in his arms and hold you close. He's not good with words of comfort, but his actions are caring and soothing. He won't leave you until he has calmed you down.

Finland: He definitely gives the best hugs all around. As a greeting, he pulls you into a gentle hug that last long enough and make you feel welcomed. (you can just feel the happiness radiating off him!) He's also very comforting when you're feeling blue. He pulls you into his lap and also holds you very close. He rubs your back and 'shhs' you in a soothing matter.

Norway: He would prefer handshakes to hugs when it comes to greeting someone. He isn't too big on hugs. But he forgets that when the tears start. Nor really doesn't like seeing people cry, especially Iceland. He'll pull you in close so that your head is resting in his chest. He'll tell you a story he's fond of in an attempt to take your mind off the sadness. He's not going anywhere until the tears stop.

Iceland: His normal hugs are kind of awkward because he's not exactly used to contact like that and doesn't like to let his guard down in that way. When you really need him and he sees you need a shoulder to cry on, he's there. (he'll question to himself why him of all people.) He'll put an arm around your shoulders and hold one of your hands. It's sort of his own way to calm others down- it lets the person know he's not going to leave until they feel better.

Denmark: He gives the best bear hugs ever! You just won't like how hard he squeezes, but he'll stop before you feel too crushed, of course. When he knows you need a hug, he'll wrap his arms around your shoulders, embrace you firmly and tell you every thing will be ok because he's here. He'll try to make small jokes to lighten your mood.
