Mica had his foot leaned up against the lockers, his head bowed, his colorful hair covering his healed face yet it looked like he was in pain. When I got close to him, he looked up and smiled but it was more directly towards Oakley. Oakley smiled and gave Mica a hug.
"I'm so happy you're okay," Oakley whispered.
Mica glanced at me. "Yeah, I'm happy too."
He pushed Oakley gently off him and sucked in a deep breath. I grabbed Oakley's hand and smiled softly at him, but it felt fake to me. Something in my gut was telling me to tell Oakley what I was going to do with Mica but I promised not to tell, especially Oakley.
"Babe, I won't be picking you up today. Call Curtis, okay?"
Oakley's happy expression disappeared. "What? Why? Are you..."
"Am I what?"
Oakley casted his eyes down. It looked like he got punched in the stomach or someone told him the worst news of his life. I almost prayed for him to leave without asking me questions but I was his boyfriend and I couldn't leave him when he was sad. "Are you going to have sex with Lexi?"
Mica snapped his eyes to me. "Who's Lexi?"
"She's a friend of mine," I answered without looking at Mica. "Why would you think that?" I said to Oakley.
"Well, you left without telling me—"
Oh. I sighed and hugged him. "Oakley, I'm in a relationship with you. That means I have my full trust on you, I won't cheat on you, and I can't hurt you."
"And you will always tell me the truth?" He said. God, I wished he didn't say that. I swallowed the lump in my throat. I couldn't tell him what I was going to do. I wished I could tell him so badly.
"That's right," I said shakily and pulled away. "Now get to class. We'll see you after."
Oakley beamed and pecked me on the lips. He sent a smile to Mica before he turned around and walked to his class. From afar, I saw Aggie watching us with intensely and worry in her eyes.
When Grant walked past me, my eyes glued to the back of his head and I felt myself shaking. Aggie's brown eyes switched back to me and Grant and it looked like a light bulb appeared on top of her head. She started to march towards us and she opened her mouth to say something but I tapped Mica on the arm and nodded to Aggie. He looked at Aggie and annoyance appeared on his face.
Mica nodded his head to the opposite direction. "Let's ditch her."
And we ditched her.
I looked behind my shoulder and she stood where were. She had sadness written on her face and she turned around and walked the opposite direction where we were going. My brain screamed for me to turn around and explain what was going to happen in the next few hours. But I couldn't because I promised not to tell.

Mica gulped down the beer like his life depended on it. I had the urged to drink one but I thought against it when I had better things to worry about. I was simply terrified and Mica wasn't making it any better.
He was cool and collected and it made me think: Has he done this before? But that's crazy, Mica was a little pussy, he wouldn't do anything to hurt someone. At least that's what I kept telling myself when I saw him pull out a pocket knife. I flinched away when he pointed the knife towards me.
"Dude, watch where you point that thing," I almost yelled. I glared at him when he rolled his eyes and put the pocket knife back in his pocket. I checked my watch and sighed in annoyance when time was taking too long.
"What the fuck is going on? Why aren't they out yet?" Mica shouted.
"They leave at three today. Just wait a bit longer," I said and kicked the empty bottle.
Mica groaned and leaned his head on the side of the building. I took out my phone and started to play random games that Oakley uploaded. I wanted to text him but I told him to worry about his studies instead of me. I couldn't believe how much I changed.
It was all because of Oakley and I was so damn proud of him and myself. He made me realized what I was doing to myself was absolutely horrible and I had to stop. I had stop hurting Curtis, Oakley, and mostly myself. It was better that way.
"He has you so whipped," Mica said in a teasing voice.
I licked my lips and chuckled. "Yeah, he does. It's been a week and I haven't cheated."
"I'm surprised the little dork is dating you. You know how much the chicks wants to murder him for having you?"
"Most of those girls are thots, expect Aggie."
"Hey," Mica pushed himself off the wall. "What's up with you two? I don't care but it seems like she's getting into your head."
"Then you do care idiot." I shook my head. "I hurt her badly. I'll try to talk to her if she lets me."
Mica rolled his eyes. "You know how girls are. Always dramatic and shit. You just have to kiss them to shut them up."
I glared at him and he nodded his head. "Right, I forget you're dating someone."
Dating someone. Who knew the sex addict was dating someone who was a weirdo and his mother was a tree? Who knew the baby daddy was dating someone who supported me than become one of those crazy girls that wanted their boyfriends all by themselves?
Sometimes I thought that I didn't deserved Oakley but I'm damn glad he appeared. I leaned my back of the side of the building. But why did he appeared? Did I do something caused him to stick by myself even though he wanted to leave me? Was I holding him back from a real life? I probably was but I couldn't just let him go.
I just got him.
I raised my head when I heard the finally bell go off. I tapped Mica and nodded my head towards our school. We hid in the shadows, the gas pumping in Mica's car, and our breathing slowing down so we wouldn't breath heavily.
Everyone ran out of the school and shouted to their friends why they were happy that they were leaving school, the boys watching the girl's asses in their tight jeans, and the fat asses running to the deli to buy more lunch for themselves. I checked my phone and saw it was close to 3:05.
"Come on, come on," Mica whispered.
"Shut up, he's right there," I snapped.
He was shaking hands and taking to his buddies, probably a party that was on Friday. A girl walked past the group of guys and their eyes lingered but not Grant's. It surprised me that he didn't glance at the girl, not that she wasn't pretty, but his eyes were in something else, or someone else. And it was Aggie.
He slicked his brown hair back in his SnapBack and swaggered his way towards Aggie. But he didn't get too far when Oakley came into the picture and started talking to her. Grant stopped and stared at my boyfriend and my ex best friend. He stood at the spot he stopped for a few seconds before he turned around and said bye at his friends. He gripped his book bag song crossed the street.
Mica and I pulled our hoods over our heads and waited for Grant to come a bit closer. Mica crossed over me and lean his back on the building. When we heard the crunching sounds of leaves breaking, I stiffened and my heart dropped to my stomach. I covered my mouth and nose with my hands and tried to stop myself from breathing heavily. I felt like everyone heard my pounding heart that wouldn't shut up.
