Me: I wish I hadn't thrown it away.
My conscience: why?
Me: Because it stabilized me, brought me to reality, comforted me.
My conscience: Are you not comfortable, happy, stable?
Me: I am all of those things, it's just that I miss it.
My conscience: You sound uneducated. We both know that even if it was in your hands right now you would still had thrown it away.
Me: why?
My conscience: Because of fear.
Me:  What does fear have to do with any of this?
My conscience:  You're afraid to loose them. You're afraid that the trust you took forever to regain from them will diminish with one little item. You're afraid you will be disowned. You're afraid you will be looked down upon by them and others. You're afraid you will hurt her, and him too, and maybe them. You're afraid that he will blame himself. You're afraid that she will want it too, just to make the same mistake you made. You're afraid that they will attempt to 'fix' you. You're are afraid of many things.
Me: I have no fear.
My conscience: Then show it.
