Dear Diary, yesterday I had to go to the warden's office and meet the warden. Wait I think that was the warden? Ugg I don't know anyways I have to apologies to Jude about breaking her wrist and her ribs. Wow, when I write it out, it sounds worse than it did saying it. Anyways tomorrow I'm going to apologies to her. I hope she accepts it. Until tomorrow, bye!

-Ash.

As she closes her diary, letting out a deep sigh. She lay back on her bed, closing her eyes to dream. Dream of a better place, a place far away from there. She can't seem to remember what the outside looks like. Heck she can't even remember her childhood, let alone her last name. All she knows is that she is Ashley and she can dream, she usually dreams about the sky, the blue birds soaring throughout the sky, but today she had a different dream.

She never can see herself in her dreams, but tonight was different. She saw herself in a flowing silk blue dress (one that she could NEVER afford) standing by a giant oak tree about 400 ft. high. She was just standing there, and then suddenly a small black shadow appeared, walked over to her, and held her hand. Another one then appeared, but this one was bigger, and it walked over to her and held her hand in a firm grip. Suddenly, the small shadow started to cry, but its tears were not water, they were crimson red. The bigger shadow then looked at her and its eyes sparked red and blue.

As it continued they let go of her hands and walked off, fading off into the distance. She then fell to the ground and started to cry. Her face covered in tears, she stood up. She then realized she was on a branch. She had the screaming sensation to jump so, she did.

Falling through the air she stopped falling, she was flying. She had big falcon wings on her back, letting her glide throughout the air. She was flying and gliding in the air like the blue birds, until it all stopped. She fell through the sky, hitting the ground to then wake up in a cold sweat. Panicked, she got up, checked her back to see no wings. She sighed with relief, got dressed into her uniform, and then relished she had to apologize to Jude today; she then crawled back into bed, wishing she could just dream again.
