POV: Macy

It's been 3 months since Felicity left 'team arrow' and things have changed a lot. Oliver has been keeping quite and to himself more than when he just got back from the island, diggle says. Focusing everything on being the Arrow making the city better. I can tell that he misses Felicity and is hurting, but he won't admit it, every time he goes out as the arrow he always stops by Felicity's house and makes sure she's ok, without her every knowing and with out the rest of the team (or so he thinks).

Felicity, has been working at QC in the IT department and even has a boyfriend, Ray Palmer. Ray is smart and nice, but he is just not right Felicity. She claims she is happy and over Oliver but, the necklace that she always wears and how she always asks me to make sure he is not hurt after every time he goes out as the Arrow, say otherwise. She has healed from the car accident and is walking without any help.

Diggle has been helping Oliver in the field still, against Oliver's wishes because of the danger Dig faces and time ticking down until he is a father.

Roy has been running the club by day and saying the city as Arsenal by night. Me and Roy have grown pretty close helping eachother with different things behind the others back. I'm helping him find Thea and he is helping me track down Felicity's and My attacker and uncover the secrets of my family, including why Oliver killed my uncle.

And last but not least me, my relationship with my family have gotten even worse. My parents are now paying more attention to me, which is worse when they didn't at all. Maria is planning to go on a trip to Africa in 2 weeks for a month with her husband and leaving her daughter with my mother and I to take care of her, which forces me to talk to my mom more than usual, and knowing Maria she did it on purpose. My 17th birthday is coming up and there is a huge party ball thing planned for me by my parents, like they do every year although I tell them not to. And Christmas is coming up meaning, even more parties and family get together, if I get through all of them alive it will be a miracle.

I push myself away from the desk that was once Felicity's, in my blue swivel chair. The desk has stayed the same with the same layout and the fern on the corner, give or take a few books. The foundry is mostly the same except for Felicity's black swivel chair sitting in the corner waiting to be used by her, and the pile of books against one of the walls.

I'm waiting for Oliver to come back from a mission but I know I have a little bit of time because he is going to stop at Felicity's house which is on the opposite side of town from where he is. I walk around the foundry examining everything, it's amazing to think that all of this is what's keeping this city a safer place to live.

I walk over to the Salmon ladder when the others work out a lot and jump up and grab ahold of the bar, trying to pull myself up.

"Good luck with that" Roy says walking down the steps.

"Thanks, I don't stay in this good shape doing nothing" I say sarcastically and he smiles "but seriously I don't understand how any of you do this."

"You just lack a few things needed to do that, including strength, height, control" he says

"Control? To do a pull up?"

"You need control to do everything according to Oliver, so much you need to slap water in a bowl over and over for hours on end"

I give him a weird look "what ya talking about Harper?"

"It's a long story" he replies setting down his bow.

I drop down from the bar and walk over picking up the bow gently pulling the string.

"Sometimes I wish I could go in the field instead of staying on the comms. And research"

"Well that's an important part to this operation and your a little young to be a vigilante"

"Excuse me how old were you when you started going out on the streets?" I ask sitting in the medical table as he puts his stuff in the display case.

"Me and you come from very different backgrounds, and knowing you and all your digging around you have done your fair share of work on the streets, maybe not by fighting, but by giving out money and goods to people" he says

"Wait you aren't supposed to know about that, no one knows it me I always disguise myself"

"True, but you have a very distinct way of carrying yourself and from what I've heard from in of my friends Sin and a few others it wasn't hard to figure out it is you"

"Yeah well, I wish I didn't have to be so secretive but the parents won't necessarily approve of my going to the glades. They wouldn't approve of me doing any of this. They just want me to party and be popular and oblivious to what they and other upper class people do the less fortunate. It's sickening once I finish building up a promising case again my family and other I'm going to do more to help those people. You know maybe open up a shelter where people can stay while they get back on there feet"

"Just be careful don't become obsessed over catching your parents, things can turn south"

"You speak of personal experience?" I ask

"Not exactly, One of Oliver's girlfriends did"

"Why? Which girl friends was this? When? Did her parents have it coming? Did-"

"Woah, I'm not up for a full questioning now, I have to get going. I have a club to run" Roy interrupts me.

"Ok, have fun." I say then walk back over to the salmon ladder "I'm going to get this eventually" I say and Roy laughs as he walks up the stairs to the club.

A few minutes later Oliver enters through the Alley entrance with a hard expression set in his face.

"Hi" I say, still trying to do the salmon ladder but now my black converse have been discarded along with my sweatshirt.

"Hey" Oliver says clearly surprised  to see me still here and in the salmon ladder. "What are you doing?" He asks with a small smile on his face.

"Working out..duh" I say once again trying to pull up but failing and failing to the ground landing on my feet.

"You might need a little more practice and build your upper body strength first" he says and I start to put my shoes on.

"Everybody is a critic" I mumble

"Shouldn't you be going to Felicity's now for movie night?" He asks because me and Felicity have it every Tuesday and Friday.

"Yep, I was just doing one more set" I say

"Ok well I'm going to go change have an good night and make sure she is healthy and happy for me will you" he says walking over to me.

"I'm sure you know already, I mean you were just at her house" I say

"How do you know that?" He asks

"It's not that hard to figure out, you know you could go and talk to her you guys haven't talked for 2 months except for when you two texted each other on thanksgiving"

"No Macy, we have been over this, I can't she wants a normal life and I can't be in it if she wants it, at least not now"

"But why?" I ask putting on my jacket then getting my bag waiting for a response.

"Just because" he finally says

"You know I'm going to keep asking you Why until you give me a different answer" I say giving him a hug bye.

"I know, bookworm" he says hugging me bye.

"Drive safe" he tells me like a protective older brother, as I walk out the alleys entrance to my car.

Before Oliver went on the Queens Gambit, when he was a party boy, whenever we had family get togethers he was always nice to me, I would always try to hangout with the big kids and my siblings would get mad and tell me to go away but Oliver would tell them to let be stay with them for a while. Back then he was more of a brother to me than my siblings and that same thing can be said now. Oliver has my back just like the rest of the team and Felicity. I can trust them more then I can trust my family even more than I can trust Maria. They are a better family then my real one and if I were to ever lose my real family they would be there for me right away, I just know it.
