"Mum, I have some news for you. You're gonna be a grandmum." I slowly admit. My mother and father open their mouths and then congratulate my wife, Katelyn and I. Katelyn and I have been trying for the past 4 months to have a baby. Finally we are expecting one. I am beyond ecstatic and I know Kate is too. "I'm so happy for you both!" Mum exclaims. My dad pats me on the back and says how proud he is of me. Kate and I have been married about 3 months now but we've known each other for 4 years. "How do you feel Katie?" Mum questions. "I'm doing okay, no signs of morning sickness yet. I'm only a month along but I'm not sure if I was supposed to experience that yet." Katie explains. Mum chuckles and begins to explain. "Oh dear, no worries. you don't have to experience it. Some pregnancies happen without it." She tells Katie. "Oh good," She sighs. "Well we have to go, but we just wanted to stop by and tell you the news." I tell them. "Ok, drive safe, congrats again. And please call if you need." My dad smiles as we walk outside. "Will do dad." "Bye," Kate and I say our goodbyes and then get in the car.
