After Elesis had announced the beginning of the challenge, Ryan and Uno had skipped everything else that they could've done now that they were awake, and went straight to Ryan's apartment to go back to sleep.

Since the apartment only had one bed, they ended up sharing since Ryan wouldn't let Uno sleep on the couch, and Uno, trying to be gracious, did not want Ryan to take it, either. Though that didn't end in anything R happening, it ended with Uno holding Ryan close in his arms, the crook of his neck resting on the top of the ginger's head as he leaned on his chest.

A few hours later, Ryan awoke slowly, feeling at peace and rather comfortable, quite rested even though it was only a few hours of sleep.

It took him a few seconds, but he realized soon after his own awakening that he was lying against Uno's chest, with his own arms wrapped around his waist as Uno held him almost protectively.

"Morning..." Uno's quiet mumble came from above him, making the young forest guardian look to see that his Bloodless companion had awoken. "Morning." He said back.

He couldn't help but notice how alluring and attractive Uno's sleepy, morning-voice was. It was a little husky, but still gentle, like his usual speech. At least, Uno's usual speech to him.

Though Uno seemed a little distant from the others, he seemed to have a soft spot for Ryan, despite his being an elf and not a Highlander like Seighart. He wasn't even part Highlander or anything. But, against all reason and logic that came to Ryan's mind, Uno tended to- if he wasn't hanging around with Veigas or trying to talk to Seighart- was staying close to Ryan, even if it was just to silently tag along.

He didn't know why, but Ryan found Uno's company very calming when he wasn't detesting himself, and he had to admit, he had a soft spot for Uno, too. He cared much about the boy he considered to at least be his friend, and hated seeing him beat himself up over something he couldn't control. So, since he cared, Ryan often tried to comfort Uno, and show him the good in life. Multiple times, he'd even given up some of his blood until Uno could go hunting again. If that wasn't love, in any way, shape or form, then Ryan didn't know what this was.

Uno, too, felt as if he was a little more at ease around Ryan. Sure, he could be hot-headed sometimes, but cooling him down seemed to be a skill he possessed, and he was always able to smile or at least try to think positive every time Ryan tried to make him feel better about himself.

There was even that one bad spill that he'd begun cutting, thinking that he could kill himself with only a few small incisions, and Ryan had told him, outright, that people cared about him and would be sad if he died, naming himself. Knowing that much, Uno's life was given a little bit more meaning, besides finding out more about the Highlanders. He began to live every day to learn new things that made life as he lived it worth it, and though Ryan wasn't the only one who taught him that, he was the one who taught him the most.

Ryan's love and passion for nature, and how he protected and nurtured everything he cared about, it was really amazing, and he felt happy, blessed, that Ryan had a place in his heart for him, too.

As they lay together on the comfortable bed, covered till the waists by thin blankets, a pillow somehow beneath both their heads, Ryan noticed that the sun was brighter outside the window behind Uno, and he looked up at his one-day-stand lover.

"Hey, we should probably get up. It's already bright out." He said, though he didn't really want to get up. He was rather comfortable, just laying like this with Uno, but he thought that, maybe, Uno would like to eat something and officially get the day started.

Uno hummed a little, holding Ryan closer. "Mmm~ ... Five more minutes." He mumbled into Ryan's soft hair, closing his eyes again and nuzzling his nose into the silky locks. "After all, neither of us really have to do anything today..."

Ryan sighed a little, hugging Uno a little tighter, too, burying his face in Uno's chest, closing his eyes again, too. "We are never going to get up, are we?" His tone was rippled with a small chuckle, but it was a bit more serious statement than others.

The elf felt Uno's chest vibrate a little as the part-Highlander chuckled and shook his head, smiling. "Nope."

Giving one more chuckle, Ryan smiled. "I'm alright with that..." And just like that, the pair fell asleep again, just enjoying this peaceful time with each other, even if times like this could just keep rolling in.
