Chapter 3 - Twins?

At lunch I grab a sandwich and eat on the way to the music block. On the way my phone vibrates. It's Jack.

Why the hell not? X

I read. I reply.

Mum made us move x

I sit down on a bench and finish my sandwich as I text. It's only 1:15 so I wait for a while.
A text comes through.

What? Why? X

I type back.

She found out we had unprotected sex! X

Why did you tell her?

I didn't x

Then how does she know? Huh?

I can tell he is angry now. So I bite my lip as I send.

She read my diary x

His text comes flying back.

I gotta go, we'll talk later

He didn't put a kiss so I know he has some serious stuff he wants to yell about.

I look at the time. 1:26. I stand up and walk inside the music block. Will is sat on the stairs.
"Hey!" I say. He smiles and stands up.
"You are Eliseiya, aren't you?"
"Yes why?" I say a little confused.
"Just checking your not Eliza." I smile a little, he wanted to see me not his girlfriend. Well I think she's his girlfriend. "So you managed to read your map?" He laughs.
"Yeah." I follow him up the stairs and into an empty room.

"Why do you want me here?" I ask.
"I just want to ask you some things," he replies. I start to feel nervous.
"So?" I ask.
"Have you ever met Eliza before?"
"No, why are you asking?" I feel really nervous now.
"So you have no idea who she is?" He asks shocked.
" I said no. I have no bloody idea who Eliza is!" I start to feel angry.
There is a moment of silence.

"What is your surname?" Will says.
"Why do you want to know?"
"Please, just tell me." He looks slightly upset so I sigh and say,
"Chase. I'm Eliseiya Chase."
"Oh my god!" Will whispers under his breath.
"What? What's wrong?" I ask. I start to panic.

"When is your birthday?" He asks ignoring my question. Now I'm really panicking but I just play it cool and say, "November 16th. Why?"
"What year?" Will looks shocked.
"1999" I reply.

"Oh my fucking God!" He says, out loud this time.
"What's wrong?" I ask. He shakes his head. "Please tell me." He sighs.
"You say you've never met Eliza," he takes a deep breath, "but..."
"Go on," I say.
"You're called Eliseiya Chase, she's called Eliza Chase." I feel nervous about what he is going to say next.
"Both of you were born on November 16th 1999." He sighs.

I breath heavily. "So Toby was right when he said I look like Eliza?" Will nods. "What does this mean?" I ask him. "I...I think...I think you and Eliza are twins." He says.
"We can't be. Mum only ever had one child, me. Eliza can't be my sister. This makes no sense." I feel my eyes fill with water. "I had a feeling you were as soon as I saw you. You both look so similar." He says.

I have no idea what to think. If this is true, my mum has lied to me for my whole life. I can't believe she would do that. As soon as school is over and I get home I have to ask her, she will tell me everything, I will make her.
