DISCLAIMER: The wonderful world of Hogwarts does not belong to us. J.K. Rowling is the original creator of Hogwarts in her series, Harry Potter. This is just a fan-made prequel.

Lilly looked into the mirror that hung on her light brown wall. This was the only home she had ever known. She wasn't sure if she was ready for the new chapter of her life. She wasn't sure if she was ready to leave her loving mother and her caring sister.

Lilly didn't like the idea of being the first of her kind to enter the wizarding world. She couldn't image leaving her school, not that she had many friends, but it was what she was used to.

"Lilly, come on it's time to go," Her mother yelled. Lilly could hear the sorrow in her mother's voice. Lilly knew her mother didn't want her to go but yet she pushed Lilly to go. Lilly took one last look at her room, the only one she had ever known, and then grabbed her trunk and walked down the stairs.

" I'm ready," Lilly said with pain in her voice. She looked up and saw her mother, her eyes were red and swollen, probably from crying. Lilly the felt a warm sensation around her. Her sister had her arms wrapped around her and whispered, "Make me proud, okay?" Lilly's sister, Ellie had been a second mother to her since their father left them.

Her mother then wrapped them both in her arms, they stayed in each other's embrace for a while. Her mother let go then scouted Lilly towards the Headmaster Cornelius.

" She will be okay we will take great care of her," He said in a kind tone as he and Lilly walked towards the door. Lilly only looked back once, she couldn't bare to look back again. She looked at her mother and sister and waved then she turned forward finally ready to face her future.

She climbs into the carriage that has nothing pulling it, " How is this going to work," Lilly thought to herself. Once the headmaster sat down the carriage took off and flew towards the sky.

Sylvia was just finishing packing up her favorite "muggle" books as there was a knock on the front door. "Sylvia! They're here!" she heard her grandmother say from downstairs. Sylvia quickly grabbed her trunk and ran downstairs.

When she was downstairs she saw none other than Headmaster Cornelius with some girl with really curly auburn hair. "Hi! I'm so happy you're here!" Sylvia said in a really excited manner. The girl next to the headmaster didn't seem really happy to be here.

"Well, I'm glad you're excited," Cornelius said with a sincere smile.

"You be good now, Sylvia. Don't be getting yourself in trouble," her grandmother said while walking to her and giving her a hug. "I'm sure you'll do great."

"Thank you, Grandma." Sylvia smiled and pulled away. "And I will." She picked up her trunk and walked towards the front door.

"We'll take really good care of her," Cornelius assured Sylvia's grandma.

"I know you will, just keep her in line," she teased.

Sylvia laughed a bit. "Oh, come on, Grandma. You know me." They both said their last goodbyes before Sylvia followed the headmaster and the strange girl to a carriage that didn't have any animals latched on it to pull it.

She got in the carriage excitedly as the strange girl slowly sat next to her. "Ready?" Cornelius said as taking a seat.

"Yeah!" Sylvia exclaimed. She looked at the girl next to her and saw zero enthusiasm on her face. "Aren't you excited?" she asked the girl, but she just looked away without answering. Sylvia just shrugged and sat down.

Cornelius picked up some reigns and flicked them and the carriage started flying. The mysterious girl gasped and grabbed onto the side of the carriage while Sylvia looked over the side in amazement. "What's making the carriage do this? It's amazing!"

"They're called thestrals," Cornelius answered. "They're invisible to anyone who hasn't seen someone die."

Sylvia widened her eyes. "Wow. That's really interesting." The rest of the ride was quiet until the reached an orphanage.

Wesley grabbed what little belongings he had and stuffed it into his dusty trunk. He walked out of the room, deciding to meet them outside of the orphanage so they wouldn't see where he lived. The different kids in the orphanage all glared at him as he walked by. They all knew he was very different.

10 minutes passed by and suddenly he sees a carriage float down from the sky. He stares at it in confusion as he sees a man with a long, white beard with specks of gray running through it and kind blue eyes. He also sees two girls sitting in the back of the carriage, one with a huge anxious smile on her face, and the other not looking happy with life at all.He was excited to see them since he wanted to get out of the orphanage that he has been in since he was eight.

The man walked to him with a kind smile and said, "Hello, Wesley. I am Headmaster Cornelius, and I have come to take you to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I suppose those are your belongings?" He pointed at the dusty trunk resting by him.

Wesley Grabbed his trunk and put it on the carriage with the others. He then took the last remaining seat next to the girl that looked like she wanted to be anywhere but here.

Nobody was talking. They each had something different on their minds, but they each were connected. All three wondered about their futures as the first Muggle-borns to be accepted into Hogwarts.
