"Demon?" Cyborg asked.
The last thing I wanted was for the Earthlings to get involved in my life any more than they already have. "I said it was none of your concern."
"What's the harm in it." I felt Shamon whisper as he leaned closer to my ear. "Their leaving anyways, so we might as well just answer some of their questions."
I hissed between my teeth. "Stop talking to me like a cub, Sham." He as done that since I was little, even before I became his apprentice. "I can make my own decisions."
"Please tell us." Robin begged, taking a hesitant step forward. "We just want to know."
"Yeah, and I wanna be a pure blood!" He drew back at my sudden growl. "Looks like neither of us is getting what we want."
I was close to lunging, ready to end all of this as quickly as it began, but that was before I felt the comforting feeling of Shamans tail on my shoulder and I was finally able to take a deep breath and relax. I really couldn't help being so explosive, sometimes I barely even knew what I was doing. Like said before, the demon controls a good bit of me.
Shamon slowly moved in front of me to keep me from springing, then began talking. "On this planet, there are many thing you humans do not know about. Most of it comes from this young she-wolf here." He gestures to me behind him as I stared daggers at the humans. "Averi here is different from the rest, she was born from a New Werewolf, which is a human that was turned Werewolf."
"Your mother was human?" Robin asked. "How did humans ever find this place before us?"
"They were exploring space and found this planet." Shamon explains. "The wolves of the last generation were not very welcoming and killed all of them, except one, which was a beautiful brunette who had stolen the heart of Hustler. They both said they refused to live without each other, so Hustler changed her to a Werewolf, something even I would never have the courage to do. It wasn't long after Averi and her brothers birth that the demon really begun to take over his body."
I roll my eyes hard enough I swore I heard it, then just shoot a snarl in the humans direction. "I may not be a pure blood Werewolf, but that does not change my loyalties toward my pack, no matter how many people think I'm a lost cause."
"Averi." Shaman whispers, just loud enough for everyone to hear. "Stop it. There's nobody you have to prove yourself to."
I was silent for a second, then I just glance up to look at him with a snicker. "Your wrong, Sham." I say. "I will never have to stop proving myself, because people will never stop doubting."
"Just because of the demon doesn't mean that you owe anything to anyone." He argued, desperately trying to get me to see his side of things.
I just turn my head to stare at the tree line. "When will you see that it isn't just the demon ruining my life!" He flinched when the words left my mouth. "My mother was human! I am part human! Werewolves hate humans! How can I show I'm loyal when people won't stop seeing everything that's wrong about me!"
"There is nothing wrong with you!" Shaman didn't seem to care that we were making a scene in front of my friends and the humans, something utterly humiliating. "You are the most loyal wolf I have ever met, and there are others who know that. Being part human, or having a demon inside of you, it doesn't change the fact that you would lay down your life for somebody you cared about!"
Something that sounded like a growl and a moan escaped my throat. "Then why am I still treated like the enemy!"
"Because that is all you let people see you as!" He roared, and I swear I have never felt a more sharper pain in my heart then that terrible truth. "Your a cold blooded murderer Averi. You can't blame others for thinking of you as what you seem to strive to be!"
