Chapter 4

RILEY POV
Maya and I both had art 3rd period and all I could see was Maya excitement to be in the classroom. I'm happy she has found herself something she's really talented in. I hope I could find that one day.
It's now lunch time and also time to find out what will show this new bad girl side of Riley Matthews.
"So Maya do you have anything?" I asked because I'm now desperate.
"No I mean what is something that everyone can relate to that will make you look like some hero, but also a badass?" Maya wondered.
As Maya says that Lucas and this girl missy walk by. His arm is around her and they are about to get lunch. He has his leather jacket trying to look like he is worth the time.
"Maybe by teaching Lucas how to keep his paws to himself every once in a while." I said laughing at the end knowing that could possibly never happen.
"Riley you are a genius!!!!" Maya screamed all excited.
"Why? What did I do?" I asked all confused.
"We have known Lucas all our life and all he has ever been was a player. Right?" Maya asked.
"Yeah?..."
"And he always 'falls' for a girl and then breaks their hearts. Right?" Maya asked again.
"Yeah, Maya what are you getting to with this?"
"Beat the cowboy at his own game!!" Maya said.
"What? Beat him at his own game? Maya he has been playing the game since middle school, he is bound to win. Plus I've been determined to not fall for his actions." I explained.
"Everyone will praise you for bringing some justice to the girls hearts he has broken. Riley you'll look like a hero and a total badass. Plus you'll leave a true legacy. Think about it." Maya said trying to convince me.
I've never met Lucas and I never planned to. I'm an observer and from what I've seen he is bad news. I've never fallen in love before and I don't want to just do it could be shattered. But he has hurt so many girls from his actions and the girls deserve some justice. We need to show people like him that they can't push girls around like that.
"Ok Maya I'll think about it, but only for those girls." I told Maya.
"Whatever you say. Hey could we have a sleepover tonight?" Maya asked.
"Is this for my uncle Josh or is it for friendship?"
"A bit of both." Maya confessed. "Please I just want to see him and redeem myself of what happened this morning."
"Ok Maya sure you could over and stalk my uncle."
"It's not stalking, but doing research." Maya explained. I laughed at my best friends words.
"I'm really lucky to have you."
"Thanks. You too, I don't want to think about how different life would be with out you." Maya told me that caused a big smile on my face.

Lunch was over and I was on my way to complete the rest of my schedule. By the end of the day I had 5 classes with Maya. History, art, English, P.E., And Spanish. At the end of the day I grabbed all my stuff and when I was about to leave I decided to use to bathroom. I walk into the bathroom and see missy crying. I dropped my stuff and immediately tried to comfort her.
"Missy what happened?!" I asked
"Lucas... He.. He broke up with me and... Only wanted me for sex!" Missy said while crying in between.
"So you two had sex? It's only the first day?" I said trying not to sound too judgmental.
"We met over the summer and I thought he was a really nice guy. Then after 6th period he asked me if I wanted to bang in the janitors closet!" Missy explained.
"I of course said no and he was so angry. He said that his goal all summer was finally have sex with me and now that I said no I was just a waste of time. And that no one will ever love me if I don't just give the what they truly want." Missy explained before she started bawling her eyes out.
"I'm so sorry... I'm Riley by the way. And I have an idea on how to get him back." I told Missy.
"What do you mean?" Missy asked.
"I'm going to beat Lucas friar at his own game."
