The Next International Step

A long afternoon.

A/N: I'm so glad you guys want an update! Here you go! ;)

*Eldons POV*
The sand wove its way between my toes as I followed West, James and Hunter down to the water at Westside beach. We're meant to be scouting out possible beach locations for me to tell Michelle how I feel and yes, we are at a beach, but I'm pretty sure we were at this specific beach because it was WESTside beach. "Obviously this is the best location!" West yells over from the sea where he had began to paddle, "I think this is the one!" James and I share a humoured look and Hunter shouts back, "This is the first beach we've visited so far!" I can't help it, I burst into laughter. Somehow I manage to tell West, when I finally reach him at the waters edge,"You're a bit biased anyway, dude." He mutters something at sounds like, "Am not!" I swear West acts like a child sometimes.

James takes the map out of his back pocket and squints at it in the sun. "What about Rilesman Cove?" He suggests before Hunter snatches the map out of his hands, "What the hell man?!" James exclaims staring in shock at Hunter. "Dude, let's be honest, you only want to go there because it's called RILESman Cove," Hunter points out exasperatedly. He jabs his finger at the map and walks over to me saying excitedly, "We should totally go check out Emmersway Walk." I bring my hand to my forehead and sigh. "Really man? EMmersway Walk?" I gesture to James and Hunter, "You two have girls on the brain." James lets out a laugh, "And you don't?" I crease my forehead and answer, "That's beside the point," I take the map off Hunter and scan the map looking for a suitably named beach, "Here," I turn the map around so the other three can observe it and I point my finger to what I found, "It's perfect! Five Shells Beach, it says in the additional comments that it has beautiful scenery and it's quiet there most of the time." They take turns in reading what I just told them and finally we agree that we should go check it out.

Meanwhile over at the girls:
*Michelles PoV*

"Emily, for the last time, I'm not just 'going to woman up and ask him out'!" I tell Emily as she suggests the idea for the fourth time. "Okay, okay," She answers raising her hands defensively, "So what are you gonna do?" Chloe raises her hand, presumably she's got an idea. "Chloe, you don't need to raise your hand to talk we're not in school!" I point out, she lowers her hand and apologises. "Sorry, I just have a really good idea!" She argues, we all nod at her to carry on, "Okay, so I was thinking about romantic places that maybe you could go to and well, I thought maybe you could take Eldon on a picnic to the beach?" Riley's nodding like she likes the idea but she asks, "Why a beach?" Chloe clears her throat and explains herself, "I had my first kiss on a beach," Emily's eyebrows raise at that and Chloe blushes, "It was a really cute, little beach, I think it was called Five Shells or something?" I like the idea of a picnic on the beach so I suggest, "Maybe we should go and check it out? Before it starts getting late?" All the girls nod in agreement and we start making our way out of the labyrinth of a house. On our way out a middle aged women (I assume it was Emily and Riley's mother) was unpacking many shopping bags on the kitchen counter. She looks up at us as we pass her, she smiles sweetly and asks where we were off to, Riley answers for us all and shouts back at her as we exit the house that we were off to the beach.
