Chapter 35 (Silver POV)

Hours later Silver was ready. He auburn hair was pulled into a graceful up-do and the shining silver dress complimented her shape perfectly.

“You look incredible” Damien said, standing next to her with his suit and hot pink tie.

“So do you. What’s Spark wearing?” she asked.

“He’s wearing a hot pink vest and a white tie, opposite of me” Damien beamed.

“Oh S, can you believe we’re finally going to prom! And we both have amazing boyfriends! Tonight’s going to be perfect.”

Silver flashed back to everything that’d happened, meeting the wolf, getting kidnapped, even finding out the guy she was in love with was a werewolf. Everything was seemingly as far from perfect as possible, but at this moment everything did seem perfect.

“Is Spark picking you up here?” she asked.

“Yup he just texted me, they’ll be here soon” Damien’s smile was bigger than ever.

“Is it crazy to be nervous right now?” Silver asked.

“Not at all S…”

“Cause I’m really nervous.”

“It’s not like it’s you wedding.”

“Yea I know but its prom Dam, prom.”

“You and Maika are so much alike.”

Silver raised an eyebrow at his comment.

“When he was going to ask you to prom, he had the same nerves. He stood in the mirror for twenty minutes, trying to make sure he looked perfect for you. It was really adorable. It was right then I realized how much he loves you. I mean, after months of dating he still got nervous to ask you to prom, even though he knew your answer before he set a foot out the door” Damien said.

 “Aw really?” Silver’s heart melted.

“Yea” he smiled.

She pictured Maika standing in front of a mirror fighting with his one piece of hair that was always out of place. It was endearing to think of. Suddenly there was a knock at the door. They were here. Silver flung open the door to reveal Spark, only Spark.

“Hello gorgeous” Damien pecked him on the lips quickly.

“Um… missing someone?” Silver asked.

“Oh yea, Maika’s running a little late” Spark said, smiling at Damien.

“Don’t let him hold you guys up. You go ahead, I’ll wait for Maika” she said disappointedly.

“Ok! Meet ya there!” Spark pulled Damien down the hall as he protested. As she looked after them a pair of tanned hands slid in front of her eyes.

“Guess who” someone whispered in her ear. She shivered as their breath caressed her neck. Silver turned around to stare at a pair of beautiful brown eyes that always seemed to sparkle.

“And you thought I’d actually be late” Maika scoffed and offered her his arm. She laughed and laced her arm through his.

“Ok I had my doubts but I knew you wouldn’t just not show.”

“Well I’m glad after six months of dating you can finally trust me” Maika smiled down at her warmly.

The gym was completely done up for prom. There were lights everywhere and glitter rained down from the ceiling. Balloons were scattered across the floor and music pumped through the speakers.
