Preface
Sunday morning in London was as usual, rainy and cold. Louis had shuffled out of bed early, his cold cold bed, and to the kitchen. He was just preparing his morning early grey tea when the sounds coming from the only other bedroom in the apartment reached his ears. He groaned because really, early in the morning?
It's like his best mates are rubbing it in his face that he has no one to cuddle with or do anything with on a cold, lazy Sunday morning.
''Shut the hell up or move out!'' Louis shouted even though their flat wasn't that big. While sipping his morning tea, he secretly hoped they didn't take it too seriously. He wouldn't have anyone if his two best mates moved out, honestly.
Louis put down his tea and started looking through the week's mails. One stood out, it was in a creme coloured envelope. He wasn't sure it was for him but he was sure when he opened it, flipping open the hard cover of the card.
Dearest, Louis and partner
Louis scoffed at the word partner and read the invitation.
Uh-Oh. He could feel his tea swirling in his stomach.
No, no.
He sat down, drinking more despite the feeling in his stomach and tried to calm down.
''Morning Lou, what do you have 'er mate?'' Niall didn't notice his best friend's frozen state and grabbed the invitation from his hands.
''Your cousin's getting married, Lou! That's amazing!'' Niall said with a grin just as he finished reading the card.
''Far from it'' Louis muttered miserably.
''Why not?'' Niall frowned in confusion.
''I have to get a husband'' Louis stood up, almost knocking Niall over.
''What?'' Niall exclaimed, confused and wide-eyed all at once.
''I have to get a bloody husband!'' Louis exclaimed dramatically and dashed into his room.
Probably to cry... or scream.
Or both, was what Niall and Harry found out.
