"We're moving into Daddy's house! We're moving into Daddy's house!" Charlotte cheered in a singsong tone,  carrying boxes from inside their house to her father's truck. It has been a week since they have decided to do so, and Charlotte was mainly the one who persisted to move in to Mike's house instead, promising her mother to help in every moving in process, including the packing.

"That's the last one?" Mike asked, placing the surprisingly heavy box on the bed of the truck. He arranged the boxes by sizes and according to the respective owner.

"Yep, I think mom's just locking up the house and making sure we have everything." She smiled sweetly, leaning by the truck and waited for Carrie to come out. "I thought you forgot that we're about to move out already." She teased, when Carrie sauntered towards them.

Carrie just chuckled in response, shaking her head at her daughter's remarks. "I think that's all." She smiled, letting out a huge breath. "This is it." She mumbled as she stared at the home she had lived in for the past eighteen years of her life. She stared at it and never wanted it to be a part of her past and she achingly stared at the sign at the front that said "SOLD." She didn't want to leave, she didn't want to leave that home, that was her comfort zone but she knew it was too late to back out now.

"You okay?" Mike draped an arm on her shoulder, planting a short kiss on her temple. He was oblivious about how she felt, but he sensed something. He knew somehow it pained her to move out of her house.

"Yeah, of course." Carrie looked up at him and smiled. "We should leave now." She walked towards the passenger's side of the truck and hopped in, smiling at her daughter who was already situated in the back seat. "You excited?"

"Yes!" Charlotte exclaimed, cheering on her seat. "I can't wait to finally decorate my room." She squealed just as Mike hopped on the vehicle.

"Ready ladies?" Mike asked, fastening his seat belt, looking at his girls with a huge smile plastered on his face. When both girls nodded, he started the ignition and drove off.

They reached their new home no longer than ten minutes and Charlotte was already bouncing on her seat, trying to contain her excitement, although the mom knew that Charlotte might be excited for now but will be her laziest self once they started with the chores. "Too excited, are we?" Carrie giggled, getting out of the car.

"Aren't you excited?" Charlotte asked back,  picking up the hugest box from the truck bed, Carrie doing the same and went to the front where Mike was already unlocking the door.

"I am."

"You don't seem like it."

"How do you say so?" Carrie cocked an eyebrow, dropping off the box by the living room, before Mike came over her and hugged her.

Charlotte shrugged and went again outside to gather more boxes.

"Babe, you don't have to do anything today." Mike gave her a short peck on lips. "You don't even have to lift a finger. You just rest, and I'll take care of everything."

"But that sounds boring." Carrie giggled, withdrawing one hand from around his waist and pinched his cheek.

"I know, but you should follow what the doctor said." Mike smiled, giving her another kiss. "Go on, lay down, I'll help Charlie with the boxes."
