"Please stop lying to me! I'm sick of being lied to, I don't need that from you too!" Zach yelled.
"Please." He pleaded letting go of her face and staring at the ground.
He was sick of getting lied to. He got that enough from his family, and he didn't need or want to be lied to by her. He thought she was different. She was honest.
"I'm sorry." She whispered siting down on the grass beneath her. She brought her knees up to her chest and tucked her face into her knees.
Zach sat next to her regretting yelling at her not knowing what to do.
"You've probably heard it on the news already but, my mother and little sister got into a serious car crash on Thursday while they were driving home from visiting family friends. Hence why I was away on Friday."
She looked at the sky trying to blink away the tears that were threatening to fall.
"My little sister died and my mother is in a life threatening situation and I don't even know if she's going to survive it."
A few tears slipped down her cheek and she gave Zach a pleading look to say something.
"I'm sorry." Zach finally spoke.
Zara looked straight ahead looking like she was off with the pixies, staring into space.
"I don't know what to do." She whispered with silent tears rolling down her face.
Zach just pulled her into his side and they both sat in a comfortable silence.
"The bus is up ahead." Zara said a while later with sadness filling her eyes.
They both stood up and they both didn't want to go but they knew they had to.
"You'll be ok." Zach told her giving her a slight smile.
"If you need me just call me." Zach said smiling brighter.
"But I don't have your number..." She said confused but smiling slightly.
He pulled a pen out of his pocket and grabbed her hand gently and wrote his number.
"Well now you do." He said putting his pen away and dropping her hand softly.
She rolled her eyes still smiling.
"Lift?" He asked.
"No thanks." She replied.
Zach nodded and walked to his car.
"Be strong." He said before hoping into his car and driving away.
"I will." She whispered to herself.
