Hey, I am so sorry I haven't updated in a year. I don't have an excuse that wouldn't turn this into an apology chapter. Basically I am at a pivotal point in life and I'm busy with tons of stuff. If that answer doesn't satisfy you then feel free to comment or message me (I'm not sure if that's a thing on Wattpad) and I will do my best to answer your questions. Anyways allons-y!

After a short lunch break I return to the living room floor parchment and pen ready. I am determined to write this letter and give it to tree hugger no matter what. I breathe in then out and nod confidently to myself.

I

grasp the pen in my mouth and begin to scrawl out the alphabet Discord had wrote for me. I worked diligently but my writing was still scratchy. I was so involved with my writing it took me a while to notice the unnaturally quiet Discord standing a hoof away silently observing my work. From my peripheral vision I can vaguely see his face blank with deep thought or concentration. I go back to writing the last few letters of the alphabet. Y and Z, done!

I sit up and look over my shoulder at Discord. His face still stuck in an expressionless look. I clear my throat and pick up the parchment in my mouth to show him my work. It wasn't perfect but it was something. His eyes lost their clouded look and he spun as a tornado before stopping and peering down at me. I looked up at him expectantly. It's almost uncharacteristic for Discord to be this quiet for this long. This worries me.
His face went bright like normal and he grinned. I look up confused at his sudden mood change.

After what had seemed like an eternity of silence he opened his mouth and said, "A plus, plus. Gold star. 10 outta 10."

"Huh? But my writing is no where as neat as yours," even as the words left my mouth I could feel my happiness waning.

Discord chuckled, "Fluttershy," he bent down and looked me in the eye, "just because your writing isn't perfect doesn't mean that you don't earn the credit for trying. I know that sounds weird coming from me considering I put no effort into anything, haha! But that makes the effort all the more valuable," he finished sincerely.

I was stunned. If my eyes weren't watering right now I might be able to form a coherent response. I just couldn't move. The sincerity, the honesty, and kindness in his tone and words were just too much.

Discord interrupted my thoughts and stretched his arms. "Okay, I think that's enough writing for today we can work on it tomorrow." I nodded mutly. At least I'm not paralyzed anymore. Discord turned away for a second and put a claw up to his chin in mock thought. "Ya, know what?"

"Hmm?"

"I think I could go for some cotton candy and ice skating how 'bout that?"

For once I opened up my mouth enough to let a feeble "Yep" to escape my mouth. Discord offered out his skinny, clawed hand and I hesitantly took it in return as he guided me out the door.
