I swung the door open to reveal Calum standing there, looking extremely good may I say.

His hair was just the right kind of messy and he wore black skinny jeans just like mine and a white Vans 'Off The Wall' T-shirt with some tattered converse to pull the outfit together.

I grinned. "Hey Cal." I greeted warmly. He smiled back. "Hi. You look great." He said and I watched him cringe at his sentence, making me chuckle. "Thank you." I said quickly and stepped out, locking the door behind me.

"I'm sorry I'm being really awkward." He apologized, scratching at the nape of his neck. "Cal, don't worry about it." I said as I followed him to his car.

"I convinced my mom to let me use my car for tonight." He said, chuckling and opening my car door for me.

I sat down in the car and he shut it, making his way over to his side. He got in and looked over to me smiling.

"What?" I asked rubbing at my face. "Is there something wrong with me?" I asked, running a hand through my hair.

"Nothing's wrong, you look adorable. I'm just so lucky to be fake dating you." He said, grinning widely. I could feel the color rising to my cheeks as I smiled. "Aw Cal, since when were you such a softie?" I asked rhetorically as we pulled out of the driveway.

"But I also need to talk to you." He said, glancing at me, then back at the road.

Oh no. Here comes the bad part.

I just looked at him and stayed silent, knowing what he was going to ask about. "So.. What did Ashton have to say to you?" He asked, glancing at me again.

I ran a hand through my messy hair and sighed. "Well.. He asked me to give him another chance and he promised not to mess up." I said, leaning my head against the window and watching the darkening sky.

"Are you going to forgive him?" Calum asked, keeping his eyes on the road. I paused before speaking. "I'm not really sure yet. I need to decide." I said, not looking at Calum. "I mean.. This is what our goal was in the first place, I get Ashton and you get Mackenzie. I'm sure their recent break up would leave Mackenzie looking for a new boyfriend." I said, still staring out the window.

To be honest, I've enjoyed Calum's company. As much as I hated him in the beginning. We've grown really close and I've begun to really like the kid. But I know that if I 'break up' with Calum so I can date Ashton, we won't be friends like we are now. I mean, this whole pact brought us together.

"Let's just.. Talk about this another time." I said, ending the conversation there.

The rest of the ride was silent, which wasn't very long because after about six or seven more minutes we had arrived. "The fair?! Oh my god Cal how did you know this was my favorite?" I exclaimed, staring out the window at the neon lights flashing from each of the rides.

"Lucky guess?" He said, chuckling, making me giggle as well. He parked in the gravel and we both got out, me marveling at the fair ground buzzing with crowds of people.

I took Calum's hand and dragged him to the to the ticket booth. "Two please." I spoke to the boy running the ticket booth. "Six dollars please." The boy said, winking at me, making me roll my eyes. Calum's arm instinctively wrapped around my waist and pulled me in close as he handed the boy six dollars and took our tickets.

Calum's arm was still gripped around my waist as he pulled me toward the rides. "I didn't like that guy, he was flirting with you." Calum said, his jaw clenching from time to time. "Whatever Cal, he was like fifteen, relax." I said, putting a hand on his shoulder. "Let's just enjoy our night."
