The Flight to Paris was a usual long one and the boys couldn't wait to get back home to see their mother. It seemed like things got better after they spent time home. After all those 7 months the guys had been back from the Amazon, it was nice to be around familiar faces. It was 9pm at night and the twins were in the Kitchen with their mother and Ashley. Mama B was at the stove cooking up some more food.
M: Oh I'm so happy you boys are back home. I know you guys miss my cooking! (smile)
Mama B set plates in front of each child then went to clean something up. Larry was the only one not really touching his food. He forked it a little but didn't put force to any of it. His appetite just wasn't there. Without hesitation he removed himself from the table and walked out of the Kitchen in silence, leaving everyone confused.
M: What is wrong with him?
Lau: Nothing mama, he just uh *sigh* really gonna miss Brazil.
A: Yea, um hey mami can you give me another biscuit please.
No one noticed Larry slipping out the house. Paris was beautiful during winter with the crisp air tickling your nose in the night. Larry walked down the street and hauled down a cab, making his way to downtown.
Once he got there he paid the driver and just started walking. He had no plan as to where he was going but he was hoping that he would find somewhere away from there. He passed various boutiques and decorative buildings and churches. Many couples were out that night. In the park some of them stood on the bridge over the lake, kissing one another and exchanging 'I love yous'. Larry wished it was him and Akiree. His imagination wondered off, making his mind believe the couple was him and her. He shed a tear but quickly rubbed it off before anyone noticed.
Once the time on his phone read 11:50pm he figured it was time to get back to the house. Not to mention his phone was on 13%. He couldn't believe no one called to ask where he went to. He was sort of glad. He didn't want anyone in his business.
Larry POV
I began walking again, this time exiting the park on the way to a large crosswalk. I waited along with about 20 other people for the red hand sign to change. It seemed like the green light was taking forever to change, and it felt like it was getting colder by the second. While I was waiting I couldn't help but hear a lady to my left in the distance. She sounded like she was in trouble, but just to be sure I turned to see what was up.
The women had on a thick coat, and some outfit maybe a dress or skirt. I don't know what her face looked like because her huge hood hung over her head, but her legs were exposed. She had some sort of brown complexion I couldn't really put my finger on it. But in some weird way I felt as though I had seen it before. She had on some fur boots to go along with it. It looked like she was asking people around about someone. When she turn towards me I could see that she was holding a huge bundle of fabric. Oki now i'm more confused. Why is she carrying a big bundle of fabric?
Since she was so distressed looking Larry just decided to walk over to help her. He approached her lightly and as friendly as possible.
L: Um excuse moi? Do you need help?
W/v: I need to find someone I lost...Someone dear to me can you please help me?
L: Um yes lets get on the metro. I'm on the way back to my mama house, we can help you.
W/v: Oh thank you!
After a 5 minute walk to the metro Larry escorted her on first before entering the underground train. The woman sat down and began to loosen the straps on her bundle of fabric she had. Larry sat in front of her and watched. He was curious to see what it was. And to his amazement, the bundle wasn't just random fabric. It was a baby. A baby wrapped up from the cold, in a bundle of fabric.
The woman shifted the baby upright so that it was sitting on her leg. Larry smiled at the baby and poked it's stomach. The baby smiled and laughed. It appeared to be a boy, he had dark loose curly hair and chubby cheeks. His big brown eyes lit up under the metro lights.
L: You baby is really beautiful. He remind me of someone.
The woman began to undo her buttons on her coat and started to remove her hood.
W/v: Oh really who? *gasp* (wide eyes)
L: (wide eyes) ....
W/v: ....Larry?
L: ...Akiree?
