  *Marcus's POV*

Lace kept asking where we were going, but I didn't budge. I just kept driving. Once I got to where we were supposed to go I stopped and parked. Lace looked so confused. I chuckled and she looked at me

"Why are we in an empty parking lot?" she asked and I just shrugged

"Because this is our date," I said and she scrunched her nose

"How?" she said

"You'll see" I got out the car and left the door open. Lace got out and sat on the hood of the car

"Lace can you go and turn on my Cd player," I asked, she jumped off the hood and walked to my side of the car "Put it on number 4" she nodded and turned it on and blasted it

"What are you doing?" she said. I just smiled and then started dancing

*Video above Guy part only*

I finished and she was just sitting on the hood staring at me

"Why are you staring at me?" I asked

"I didn't know you could dance," she said and I shrugged

"There's a lot of things you don't know about me sweet pea," I said and she giggled "Now it's your turn," I said walking over to her

"No, I don't feel comfortable doing it," she said, I sat next to her

"It'll be ok, I'm the only one gonna see you," I said smiling

"You sure?" she asked and I nodded

"Ok," she said. I jumped off the hood and to the car

"Whatever, I don't care," she said, I smiled then played a song. When she finished I stared at her, she blushed and looked away from me

"Aww don't hide, I thought it was really good," I said and she blushed harder

"Thanks, was that the whole date," she asked and I chuckled and shook my head no

"Nope, come on" I lead her back to the car and we got in. I drove down the street to a park, once we got there. I got out and ran to the other side of the car to let Lace out, we walked down to the pond area and sat down.

"This is so pretty, how did you know this was here?" Lace asked

"My parents always used to bring Henry and I here," I said looking and the pond

"Oh, have you visited their grave since they died," she asked, I looked at my shoes "it's Ok if you don't want to talk about it" I looked at her and smiled

"It's OK, but no I haven't. Lace why'd you stop speaking?"

She took a deep breath and played with the grass "Well it all started in 7th grade..."

*Lace's POV*

Marcus just asked me why I stopped speaking, I took a deep breath and started playing with the grass

"Well it started in 7th grade, my dad was always rough with my mom and one day I came home from Amber's house and my dad was hitting my mom and my brother was sitting in a corner terrified to move, so I did the one thing I could. I grabbed my mom's phone and called the police, my dad saw and so I ran up to my room and he caught me, he beat me so bad that I was getting dizzy. The police came and he said that if I ever told someone what happened he would come back and kill me, so I stopped talking to anyone afraid my dad was listening" I explained shaking

Marcus scooted closer and wrapped his arms around me. I relaxed a little but was still scared. I rested my head on his shoulder and we sat and watched the sun go down, once it was getting dark. We got up and walked back to the car, we rode in silence, but it was a good silence. We got to my house and he walked me to the door, he hugged me and I hugged back

"I'm sorry all this stuff happened to you" he whispered in my ear

"Thank you for listening" I looked up at him and he leaned in and kissed me lightly on the lips, he released and I was blushing like crazy

"See you tomorrow" he smiled and I smiled back

"Bye" he walked back to his car and I watched him drive away. I walked into the house and closed the door behind me, I walked dazedly up to my room since I have school tomorrow. I got my pj's on and climbed into bed reading the rest of my book, Once I finished I turned out the light and fell asleep.
