Then I heard a voice.
=====================
Ashely's POV
"Do you want to be my best friend?" The voice said. It sounded so familiar. It was a boy's voice. I turned around to see a boy looking down at his shoes. Wait, it was that boy. The laughing boy. The boy who had made me upset and sad. I didn't know what to say. He looked up, and we stared into each other eyes. Then he looked at my half-made tiger and began to draw on it!
"Hey! Stop it! That's my tiger!" I screamed at him. He was startled. He walked aside, looking down again. I turned to look at my completed tiger? I looked back at him, and see him looking at the floor again.
"I'm sorry. I thought you needed help. I was only trying to help. I'm sorry." He said still looking down. Those last words kept rolling in my mind. I was only trying to help. I'm sorry. Was only trying to help. I'm sorry. Trying to help. To help, help, help. I'm sorry. Sorry, sorry, sorry. I looked up to see him already looking at me, like I was spaced out.
"Yes, you can be my best friend." I whispered quietly, that only he can hear. His eyes open wide. He was shocked. Well, even though he asked me first. Why not? I thought to myself. It couldn't hurt, could it?
