"Laura.....could u take the chicken lasagna to the table", my dad called.
"Um- yeah I'll be right there ", I say while going to the kitchen.
*******
"So Laura.....Have you yet decided what you want to do after you graduate from school?", my dad asked trying to act casual but I could sense a hint of seriousness in the way he said it. Not this again.
"I was thinking I would major in Journalism. Maybe go to NYU or somewhere...", I trailed off, mhmm this lasagna is good.
"Yeah...That's great sweetheart. But are you sure you don't want to go to any college somewhere near here?" my mom asked.
"Mom.....I'm not exactly sure yet" I mumbled whilst shoving lasagna in my moth, I really don't like talking about the future in case I'm not sure what I want to go for, one thing is for sure, I am interested in Journalism and I really wanna study in NY. Although I haven't sent any applications to any colleges.
"I'll go get some ice-cream, And Laura could you help dad take away the dishes?.", my mom says while taking her napkin from her lap, I could see that she was trying to change the horrible topic that was directed to me. She got up and left me with dad. Wow wait-a-go mom, good work in changing the topic (note the sarcasm).
"Um- " I broke the silence "Dad I'm kinda tired, I think Ill to my heavenly place". Dad rolled his eyes at that, but I could see a ghost of a smile.

I snuggled into my bed & held my pillow tightly. Wait. Why is my bed so hard...... is it moving!?. I opened my eyes to view into a Grey tee.
I furrowed my eyebrows and slowly looked up to see a familiar face.
How the hell did I end up on him?
I squinted my eyes in confusion but then reality hits me. In with a boy on my heavenly place. My eye widened.
I jumped out of the bed and landed on my butt, stumbled upon my blanket and crashed on to a wall. Face first.
"Lauraa! Are you up?" my mom screeching voice hit my ear drums. Oh my god! I rubbed my now paining nose and responded quickly.
"I am coming mom....I'll be just down in 10" I screamed from my bedroom. I looked at the boy who was on my bed
"Okay", she responded, this time sounding distant.
~flashback~
He finally broke the echoing silence, "So...are you excited for the camping trip, Cookie?"
"Cookie? When did you start calling me cookie?" I ask, sitting next to him on the rooftop of my house.
"From now on I am calling you cookie & For your information I like cookies & your freckles makes you look like a white chocolate chip cookie. And it makes it funny when you make that face just like how you're doing it now." He pointed at my face.
I looked at him blankly, whats with the freaking nicknames? I mean how hard is it to say Laura, cookie is freaking longer than that. Then I remembered what he said and I punch him lightly, "Awe." I coo. "little Alex likes cookies." I furrowed my eyebrows "speaking of cookies, my moms a beaker, I mean all she does is find new things to bake, I could bring you a bunch if ya want!" I said with a grin.
"No need for all that, but if you insist I love the double chocolate chip ones. I remember when I was a kid, my father & I used to compete against each other to see who could eat the most cookies during Christmas. My mom would later bite our heads off, when I went to her crying my tummy ached. Well that was before...yeah...you didn't answer my question. Are you excited for the camp." He ends somewhat nervous.
