"this separation,
time and space between us
for some revelation
you didn't care to discuss.

i'd rather be black and blue, than accept that you withdrew."

You can't believe what just happened. There's no way to calm yourself down. You had no idea you even wanted to kiss him. But you did. And oh, what an amazing kiss it had been; the butterflies still fluttering around your stomach serve as a testament to that.

You're following Kylo, you have no idea where he's even taking you. You don't know what's going through his mind, and you can't even see his face, because he's walking so fast; his black robe flowing behind him, like a shadow which can't quite keep up, his long legs are no match for yours. You want to grab his hand and ask him to slow down, but you don't.

Stormtroopers stop and salute you both every now and then, and even though you know that none of them could possibly know what has just happened between you and Kylo, you still feel that little spark of nervousness somewhere between your chest and your gut. Affection doesn't seem to be expressed very often aboard this starship; nor does it seem to be welcome.

After a while Kylo starts to slow his pace down, allowing you to catch up to him. You study his features as he scans the corridor to make sure there's no-one there, feeling that familiar warm feeling of being attracted to him start to creep back onto you.

Having made sure no-one's around, he inputs a code into the little keypad situated on the side of the door, and it slides open, revealing a large room. The wall opposite the door is more of a window than a wall, transparent and huge, and for a second you forget about Kylo standing next to you, and rush up to the window-wall, placing your palms flat against the glass. You can see endless stars zooming past as the starship continues travelling in the opposite direction, can even see a few planets here and there. It's a beautiful sight; and you're so enthralled by it that you don't even notice that Kylo is looking at you the same way you're looking at the galaxy outstretched in front of your own eyes.

He clears his throat, an attempt at catching your attention. "Sorry, sorry, but woah, this place is amazing," you breathe, hesitatingly turning away from the window and scanning the room around you.

There's a long table right in the middle, metal and modern, with silver chairs all around it, a few papers carelessly flung at where the head of the table would sit.

"This is where Hux hosts his meetings. He hates having people come here."

"You're quite the rebel then," you say, turning your gaze back towards the window. You're so charmed with the black, expanded unknown in front of you.

Without thinking, Kylo says, "With two rebels for parents, no wonder." He clenches his jaw, not believing he just mentioned them. The emotional pain is still fresh, still raw. His hand involuntarily goes to his side; the bowcaster wound. He winces a little, and then inhales deeply.

Your instinct tells you that he's in pain, because why else would he touch his side and wince? You wonder if he has a scar, wonder about how he managed to get it. There are so many things about his past that you did not know yet. So many things you ache to know about.

"There's something I need to tell you."

The words make your pulse quicken. Your first thought is about the kiss- is he going to say it had been a mistake?

"Caluan Ematt is back at the resistance base."

You're so relieved he hasn't mentioned the kiss that you involuntarily blurt out a croaky "who?"
