A Normal Morning for Kittai

My eyes flew open to the obnoxious bleeping of my alarm, and in that moment I realized that it was Monday. Groaning to myself, I balled my fist and slammed it onto my alarm, silencing it in a pound of vengeance for interrupting my dreams.

I wasn't even dreaming.

Suddenly Kat was in my room, shouting for me to wake up, "Kittai! You need to get up! Lazy! We need to go in five minutes!"

"Then that's five more minutes to sleep." I grumbled drowsily.

It didn't help that I'd stayed up until four in the morning texting my boyfriend.

Just kidding, I don't have a boyfriend. I just said because it sounds better than saying that I stayed up raging to a game called Geometry Dash.

I still hadn't finished the first level.

"Kittai, no!" Kat shouted, breaking me from my sleepy thoughts.

"Kittai yes." I mumbled, pulling a pillow over my face.

"Kittai! You're making us both late!" Kat huffed, pulling the pillow off of me and hitting me with it.

I let out a long whine and sat up, "Okay fine! Let's go to hell so I can sleep through all of the classes!"

"Fine! Fine, then sleep through it! Just get ready!" Kat shouted, "And hurry up! We have to leave in two minutes!"

"I doubt that, time freak" I mumbled, not really very aware even of what I was saying at that point.

My sister just sighed heavily and got up, telling me again to get ready before leaving the room.

Reluctantly, I got up. Tears formed in my eyes as I glanced back at my bed. If it had eyes I was sure that it would he sobbing uncontrollably, "I'm sorry" I whispered.

To my bed. An inanimate thing.

That's the extent to my exhaustion. I wasn't thinking clearly and I wasn't even very sure if I was awake.

After clumsily getting dressed, I went out the door wit Kat and we went to school together.
