Chapter four
Situation and Salutation had their first gig of the year tonight, and it was extra special because Travis has never heard them play. We promised him that his mind would be blown.
“How’s this?” Oneekan twirled. She is wearing a neon pink basketball jersey that said Boston in black on it, smoky gray leggings, a brown belt clinching her waist and cork wedges.
“Awesome.” I replied, playing Little Mixes’ new album DNA. I had a Black t-shirt that said ‘run, Forrest, run!’ on it with a tree with legs, black high waisted shorts with a colorful flower print on it and yellow peep toe pumps. Sandra had on a baby blue t-shirt, royal blue skinny jeans and midnight blue converse. Kyla had a white lace mini skirt, a green crop top and black sandals. We pulled into the nice little concert area. Will and Jill are setting up. Well, Jill is setting up but Will is arguing with Travis and Theo about something.
“Theo, Travis, get off the stage. Ok, everyone, we are Situation and Salutation, and we will be playing some music for you!” shouted Jill. She began to pound on her drum.
“I’m not sad
Not even mad
Maybe even glad
I just find it funny
That you still wanna be my honey
It’s just those annoying things you do
And I don’t like you
I don’t like you”
‘I Don’t Like You’ is my favorite song by Jill and Will. Travis’s jaw was on the floor.
“I see you are a Situation and Salutation fan.” I smiled. He just nodded.
We jumped around to Don’t Go, nodded our heads to The Old Bandstand, and cried to It’s Not My City Anymore. As Jill and Will packed up, I noticed something.
“Hey, where’s Brandy?”
