Chapter 9

The next morning I get up around 3:30am. I sigh because of the nightmares. I quietly get up and change into some pj pants and a tank top. Obviously with s sports bra underneath. I change in the bathroom and quietly walk downstairs. I walk into the kitchen and grab the ice cream in the freezer. I scoop myself some and put it away. I grab a spoon and walk outside. I sit on the hood of my car and lean onto the windshield. I stare up at the skies as I eat the ice cream. I hear footsteps so I turn my head. I see Brian walking towards me. I smile at him and he returns it. I whip out a spoon from my waistband and hand it to him. He always gets up not long after me, it's like he has a another sense for me. We eat the ice cream in silence. We just chill and he says "Couldn't sleep?" I shake my head and say "Nightmares. After it happens I can't go back to sleep. It's weird." He laughs and sits up. He grabs me and brings me inside. He puts the dishes away and brings me to my room. I lay down and he presses a kiss to my forehead. I smile and he leaves. I try to fall asleep but it won't work. I give up and lay down next to Farkle. He's the only one that can get me to sleep the whole night. I curl into him and put my head on his chest. He automatically wrapped his arm around my waist. He mumbled still half asleep "You good?" "Mmmhmmm." I reply with. After about 2 minutes we fall asleep.
~Next Day~
I woke up next to Farkle. Oh yeah, nightmare, talk with Bri, fell asleep next to Farkle. Ok now that I have that all sorted out I pick an outfit(outfit above). I take a shower, leave my hair in its natural curl/wave, brush my teeth, get changed and walk downstairs. I see everyone but me sitting down. I sign to Farkle 'Wait for them to say grace.' He nods and Mia says grace because she was the last one to sit down. We start to eat and once we finish I do the dishes. Tej drys them and Roman puts them away. We established this routine awhile ago. Once we finish we walk to do our own thing. I go into the garage with Farkle. He's never worked on a car and I asked Dom to teach him. I start to sketch some designs for my cars. I then draw a whole new car. I glance over and see Farkle doing everything exactly as Dom says. After an hour Dom leaves him to work on it himself. I laugh and say "You turned him!" As I point to Dom. He just chuckles and continues to work. Farkle continues to work and I say to Dom "He is doing it perfectly. He might become better than you soon!" Dom shakes his head and says "No one can be better than me!" I turn to him and say "I bet 2 chocolates!" He nods and we shake on it. All of a sudden a car pulls in and it's smoking. The guy gets out and says "Can you fix it? I'll pay whatever it takes!" Dom nods and pulls the car up to an empty space. Dom points at Farkle and I, we nod and walk towards the car. I lift up to hood and wait for the smoke to go away. Once it did I started looking for the problem. It didn't take long. All he did was over use the nos and make his engine give out and all that stuff. I started to work on it with Farkle. When we finished it looked brand new. We stepped back and Dom looked it over. He says "You guys are like Letty and I. We get it done quick and make it look new." I smirk and wipe my hands off on a rag. I threw it at Farkle so he could do the same. I say "Farkle. We'll have to go back eventually. You know that right?" He sighs and nods. He says "I like it here though. It's much more calm and plus the family here is amazing." I nod and say "You could always move here when you turn 18." He nods and says "What about you?" I shrug and say "I need to visit Haruto, Yuku and Riky's graves. I need to visit the family in Spain too. Once I finish that I'll come back here and live here." He nods along and replies with "Sounds like a good idea." I nod and hear my phone ring. I roll my eyes and check the caller ID. I see that it's Nat. I answer and say "Hey." "Hey Emma. We need you to babysit at Clint's. Laura and him are going on a date. Steve and I are on a mission. Tony and Bruce are stuck in the labs and you're the only one left!" I sigh and say "Alright I'll be there soon!" "Thanks bye!" "Bye." We hang up and I say "I have to babysit my friends kids. They're dropping them off. Is that okay?" They all nod and I thank them. I hear an engine about 20 mins later. I walk out and see Cooper, Lila and Nathaniel. I smile and take Nathan's carrier. I grab the kids bags and hug Clint and Laura. I say "Have fun!" They nod and wave. I bring the kids with me into the garage. I say "Guys! This is Cooper, Lila and Nathaniel." I then say "Meet Dom, Letty, Roman, Tej, Farkle, and Brian." That wave and I bring them into the house. I hear Mia and Jack. I yell "C'mon down here. I have someone I want you to meet." Jack and Mia come downstairs. I introduce them and Jack and Lila hit it off. I say "Mia! You should be relaxing! You're due soon!" She rolls her eyes at me. I put down the carrier and take Nathan out. I set him on my hip and start making dinner for everyone. I finish and walk out to the garage. I walk inside and I still have Nathan on my hip and say "Dinners ready!" They all come running but I hold out a hand. They stop and I say "Before you sit at the table clean yourselves up. You guys look like grease monkeys!" They all roll their eyes but do as I say. I set Nathan's carrier on the ground next to me. I go and make his bottle and heat it up. After I finish I walk back over. I smile and tap his cheek with it. He opens his mouth and I put it in. I turn and see everyone looking at me. I raise an eyebrow and say "What?" Mia smiles and says "You're gonna be a great mom when you're older." I blush lightly and laugh. I say to Lila and Cooper. "C'mon get into your seats. We say grace here so when you see me eat you can start, okay?" They nod and sit down. I sit down next and wait for the rest of them. Roman says grace and we start to eat. Nathan starts to cry so I throw the burp rag over my shoulder. I grab him carful my and lay him on me. I hold him with one arm as I eat. Everyone is in their own conversations. I say to Cooper because he's trying to put broccoli on the floor. "Coop, you need to eat it. That way you can be strong like your dad and Captain America!" He smiles and eats it all. I smile in victory and see Mia looking at me. I raise an eyebrow and she says "You act like you're older than you are. You're 14 now! You act like a mother though." I shrug the shoulder that Nathan isn't laying on. After I finish. I burp Nathan. Then I set him on my hip and grab my plate. I see Lila and Cooper are done so I say "You two can go play in the living room or jacks room once he's done." They nod and run into the living room. I grab their plates and balance them on mine. I then walk into the kitchen and set them in the sink. I then walk back and grab his carrier. I bring it into the living room and let a blanket on the floor. Once I do I set Nathan on it and let him play with some of his toys. I then go through Cooper, Lila and Nathan's stuff. I groan and call Clint. I say "Hey, I forgot to ask. Are they sleeping over?" He sighs and says "If that alright with you." "Sure. Now have fun! Bye!" We hang up and I check Nathan's diaper. I grab his diaper bag and bring him into my room. I set him on the bed and give him a diaper change. Once I finish I grab his footy pajamas and put him in them. After I do that I bring him back downstairs. When I walk down I see Jack, Cooper and Lila playing. I smile at them and walk into the kitchen. I then check outside and see all the adults sitting and talking. Except Farkle. He's not an adult yet. I walk over and hand Nathan to Farkle. He panics and says "I don't know what to do!" I groan and show him. Once he does it I set Nathan in his arms. I say as I walk into the house "Just watch him as I give the kids a bath!" He nods and I walk in. I say "Lila come with me." She stands up and we walk into my room. I grab her bag and grab undies and a nightgown. I then bring her into the bathroom and run a bath. Once she's all done, we dry her off and get her changed. I then grab their toothbrushes and put toothpaste on it. She brushes her teeth as I do her hair. I brush it then french braid it. Once I finish she looks at it and smiles. She says "Mom and Dad don't know how to do this! Thanks Auntie Emma!" I smile and hug her. We walk downstairs and I give her some flip flops. I say "If you go outside don't get dirty." She nods and walks into the living room. I yell "Mia you want me to give Jack a bath? Cooper needs a shower first though!" "Thanks that be great!" "Okay!" Cooper comes running and I bring him into my bathroom. He already showers by himself so he knows how to do it. While he's doing it I grab his boxers and pj pants. I then walk back and set them on the toilet. He says "Can you hand me a towel?" I give it to him and he steps through. I give him his clothes and turn away as he dresses. After he's done I dry his hair with the towel. I then make him brush his teeth. Once he's done I let him go downstairs. Jack walks over and I pick him up. I carry him up to the bathroom. I grab him his boxers, pj shirt and shorts. I get the bath ready and once it's good he steps in. Once we finish he dries off and I help him change. Once he's done he brushes his teeth and runs downstairs. I walk downstairs and look outside. I see Nathan asleep in Farkle's arms and Lila is asleep in Tej's lap. I laugh and walk out. I grab Lila and carry her up to my room. I grab another futon after I set her on the one I already have out. I tuck her in and kiss her forehead. I set up Cooper's futon and walk downstairs. He and Jack are basically asleep on the couch watching tv. I grab Cooper and carry him to his futon. I set him down and tuck him in. I kiss his forehead and walk back downstairs. I see Jack and carry him to his room. I set him under his covers and walk outside. I say "Jacks in his room ready for you to tuck him in. He's half asleep." They nod and hug me in thanks. I quietly grab Nathan from Farkle. I take him to my room and set up a crib out of blankets and pillows. I set him in the middle and lay down next to him. He's still asleep and I fall asleep quickly after. I hear rustling so I sit up right. I see Farkle getting into bed. I sigh and lay back down and check on Nathan. As soon as he lays down I put my head on his chest and he wraps an arm around my waist.
