Changing Me
Perfection is unattainable.
My patience is unsustainable.
We are born into it
we live through the life we fit.
My world crumbles around me
whenever I'm not who I'm supposed to be.
I may not live up to your expectations.
I will ignore your allegations.
Some days I may do what I'm told
but others I'll go off and be more bold.
We can't chose who we are now
but shape who we are, take the vow.
Days are shorter than they appear,
soon they'll add up to a whole year.
I am I, you are you
I'll spend my time knowing what's true.
