-  take short, lukewarm showers. this gives your skin less of an opportunity to dry out.
- take vitamin D. your body naturally produces this when you're in the sunlight, and so you make less in the winter. it can raise your mood significantly.
-  reduce hat hair by using dry shampoo when you remove your winter headgear. It will help lift squashed roots.
- wear layers, they allow you to be as warm as you need to be, no matter how the external temperature changes.
-  run a cheap razor over a pilly sweater to remove the pillyness.
- place your shoes on the heater before you wear them to give your feet that extra warmth before you go out.
-  wear a coat with a defined waist. keep your winter coat from swallowing you whole by rocking one with a nipped-in waist.
- carry good chapstick everywhere to prevent cracked, sore lips.
