Amelia's POV

I think a couple of weeks has passed but I'm not quite sure. Without my best friend here it feels like my life is falling apart. I haven't attended school in god knows how long and I'm not the perfect little girl my mum wanted me to be. I'm broken. I call out in my sleep for Maya to come back all I want is for my partner in crime to be by my side again. Mason has had next to no sleep at all lately because he is trying to find Maya for me, I have gone thought 5 tubs of Nutella ice-cream. I'm just sitting on my bed watching The Lion King for the third time this week instead of ice-cream sitting beside me I have popcorn, I have started to develop a cold, when I hear a knock on the door I call for them to come in thinking it will be Mason but it turns out to be Layla. She looks at me with sad eyes thinking she understood what was going on. She didn't understand the pain I was going through she had everything I didn't, Parents, best friends, a loving boyfriend. What did I have? A brother, parents that have abandoned me and a best friend that has disappeared.

She gently placed herself beside me on my bed and looked at me before dragging me into a hug, all of a sudden I just felt the tears fall down my face so I let it all out. After a couple of minutes of crying on Layla's shoulder I jumped up and ran to the bathroom to grab a tissue, as I walked back in Layla was also crying on my bed as well so I went and sat down beside he giving her a big hug and a tissue. "Maya was my sister you know?" WAIT WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!! Why didn't Maya ever tell me that she had a sister that was as gorgeous as she was? I just stared at her ad she let out a soft giggle, we carried on talking with each other for what seemed like hours until Charlie walked in and said to Layla that they needed to leave, I said my goodbyes to them and hugged Layla goodbye but before she left she arranged a sleepover round her house tomorrow night, No guys allowed. I'm sure I heard Charlie growl at this statement or was it just my imagination? As they left my room and I heard they car pull out of our drive I got ready for bed and prepared myself for another night with no sleep.

Mason POV (From when he got home from school)

As a walk in the door once again on my own because Amelia hadn't been attending school since Maya went missing, Mum and Dad hadn't been here much to notice anything so that is good for Meme or she would be in a lot of trouble. I walk to the kitchen and find that Meme has cooked a big chocolate cake as well as pasta bake with a note that read:

This is for you Mason, I have already eat something so don't bother bringing up a plate for me because I won't eat it. Hope you like it and the chocolate cake :) Love Amelia xx

I looked at it in shock, I didn't expect her to have cooked for me and had also made some tea for herself. I could hear her upstairs eating her popcorn due to my werewolf senses and all, I sit down with my big plate of pasta bake watching a history documentary when I hear Charlie pull into the drive, What does he want? I mind link him saying to be quiet as he comes in because I am not quite sue if Meme is asleep or not. Charlie walks in the door his arm around Layla and jumped onto the sofa while Layla sat on his lap. Charlie had been working on Mayas case with me from day one as Layla was Mayas sister so he knew about everything that was going on unlike all the other pack members, He knew our next plan of attack on the pack we have suspected to have taken Maya. The Lycan Blood Pack, they are the most feared pack in this country and we are planning on taking them down we just have to train up our warrior wolves and we should be all set, Layla doesn't like this idea. She keeps protesting and saying she doesn't want Charlie to be involved in anything like this in case she loses her mate but Charlie doesn't care and that is all that matters. We talk for a little while until Layla gets bored and askes where Amelia is, I tell her she has locked herself inside her bedroom and hasn't came out since Maya disappeared. Layla looked at me with sadness in her eyes and asked which way to Meme's bedroom I point her down the hall and to the left.

Once Layla was out of ear shot we talked about what will be taking place tomorrow at our usual event we attend. Cage Fighting. This is how Charlie and me earn our living, every Friday we go down to a underground cage arena and work as a tag team to get as much cash as possible. We normally end up on top but last week we challenged the greatest tag team that attends, if we are able to beat these we will earn £10,000! Layla doesn't know about this and neither does Amelia, she thinks that the parents pay for this house and everything inside of it but they abandoned that responsibility when they decided to move away for a couple of years and then come back thinking they will fix everything. They are the reason I do this every Friday and sometimes end up inside A&E but that wont happen tomorrow because I need to get back to Amelia in one piece. After about roughly 2 hours Charlie looks at the time and decides to go and fetch Laya so they can go home, They come out of Meme's room holding hands, Layla looked very happy it was probably because she told Amelia she knew the pain she was going through as Layla was Maya Sister this was why Charlie was even more determined to get her back because he could feel the same pain as what Layla is feeling about this situation because of the whole Mate thing. Once they had left I just sat on the sofa and chilled until I was tired enough to go upstairs. I cut of a bit of Amelias cake and went upstairs planning to watch a movie

I walked past Meme's room to get to mine and I could hear faint snoring so I knew she was sound asleep. As I walked backwards through the door I felt two arms slide through mine and snake around my stomach, I was a little freaked out. I then realised it was Briana so I growled at her, Briana claims that I am her mate and she will become the Luna of my pact she just needs to show me that we have a bond that can not be broken. For the past two weeks she has been sneaking into my room to try and sleep with me but I knew this time was different she was hear for a reason and I could smell it. She was in heat. I nearly threw Amelia's perfectly made cake across the room just so I could grab hold of Brianna right then but I contained myself and made sure I made placed the cake down on top of my desk so I know it won't get harmed. As soon as my hands were of off the cake I had Brianna pinned against the wall hands above her head I whispered into her ear that even her being in heat is going to change anything between us, once I had pulled away from her she looked at me with pure anger within her eyes she launched herself at me saying that we were meant to be. I caught her just as she landed on me walked calmly to my car and placed her inside the passenger seat, I grabbed my keys and jumped into the drivers seat driving her home because I wasn't that nasty to make her walk there so she could get I attacked by some un-mated wolf. I pulled up outside her house, my knuckles were white from where  was holding the steering wheel trying to contain myself, she looked at me once last time with sad eyes and jumped out my car and ran inside her house. I was able to finally relax, it took me about 20 minutes to get back home once I was through the front door I listened out to see if anyone was up and when I couldn't hear anyone I used my super speed (because I am Alpha) to run to my bedroom and jumped into bed.
